Hey everyone! Let’s talk about something holy

Let’s get into it.

Be the peacemakers

So what happens is that I was actually on instagram and Facebook and I saw so many people divided over politics and social injustices and other problems that our societies face in this day and age.

And I saw people battling other people in what seemed like pointless debates because they want to make a point.

And I’ll be honest with you, what does the Bible say about it all?

Jesus teaches us to do something different.

Jesus teaches us to be the peacemaker in this world.

Not a debater, but a peacemaker.

Not a fighter, but a peacemaker.

And he teaches us that if we do so, we shall be called the children of God.

Now don’t get me wrong, there is still a place in this world for soldiers and policeman and boxers and MMA fighters because obviously God has it there for a reason and the reason is always a good reason.

God has wrestling here for a reason, God has Football and Hockey here for a reason.

There is always a reason and it’s always a good reason.

But what I’m talking about is something different.

What I’m talking about is hating someone or something for whatever reason.

I’m not saying to love sin.

However, how did Jesus handle these situations?

Because without a doubt, Jesus knew absolutely every sin imagineable under the sun.

And so then, Jesus still chose to die for all of the sinners in the world.

He chose to die.

He died for us, all of us.

regardless of whether we were homosexual, or a murderer, or a thief, or a drunk, it doesn’t matter Jesus died for us all.

And it’s good news, it’s good news because there is no restriction as to who can go to heaven.

There is none, there is no restriction as to who can go to heaven.

The Lord wants us all in heaven.

Now I understand zealous Christians and their flame towards God when they first start out being Christian.

But be careful where you blaze that fire because sometimes you might burn people.

Let me explain.

One time I knew a girl in high school who was homosexual.

And she asked me, “German, does God still love me?”

and at the time, I was really unprepared for this question, but i answered it the best that I could and I said, “Yes he does but he doesn’t like the sin that you do.”

And it was the best I could answer and i said it in a very aggressive manner.

Because. I was angry.

I was angry at the fact that she was homosexual.

But I didn’t know that it was a moment of glory for God because she was still concerned about God in her life.

Amen to that.

And she wanted to know if God still loved her.

I was new to the faith and I didn’t know how to handle that situation.

But God was good and let me explain to the best of my abilities.

I hope this girl reads this blog post one day and knows that God loves her more than she could ever know.

But if I had been the peacemaker like my father wanted me, it would’ve went better.

If had loved like Jesus did, then I would’ve understood her.

And I wouldn’t have been so angry at her.

She might’ve even went to church with me.

I don’t know, but I Know this that God will take the glory in her story.

Amen.
