Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to give you guys a little insight as to the things that you should be doing in order to promote your music.
Let’s get into it.
Music promotion 101 Start small and build your way up

So what happens is that I started this manner and I honestly think that every musician should follow these steps as well because what happens is that when you first start promoting your music, it actually is a completely different skill that you need to learn in order to promote your music.
You need to learn about content creation and Internet marketing and it’s all a big mess that you have to learn.
And it’s not easy, quite frank with you it’s not easy.
Sometimes it’s even a good idea to certify yourself in social media management to really grasp the concepts behind making a great blog or YouTube channel.
So if you want, starting small is a great way to pace yourself because this is the long game.
You need to be able to pace yourself and build momentum into doing big things in the music world.
It’s not a matter of, “Oh, I will make a bunch of posts and put it everywhere on social media for a few months and then call it a day.”
That’s actually not how you’re supposed to do it.
You’re supposed to stay consistent and post your blog content and social media content often so that you are good with the algorithm and you are good with your fans.
If it was me and I was starting over again, I would honestly start the blog first and learn what it means to create good content and learn what it means to write well and then venture off into instagram or X or Facebook.
If it was me, I would start the blog first and then go into Instagram.
The reason why is because a blog is great and all but it’s a slower method on how to promote your music.
Instagram is faster.
You actually reach more people through Instagram per post then you would with a blog.
But you need both.
You actually need all of them, you need X, Instagram, Facebook, blog, and a YouTube channel.
It helps to grow your audience with all of those platforms, but it’s up to you as to how hard you want to work in each of them.
Start with 30 minutes per day
So in order to make this a reality, you need to build habits.
And they say that in order to build a habit, you need to dedicate 30 minutes of whatever it is that you’re trying to build a habit in and do that every day, if not most days.
I mean at least 6 days a week.
And that’s exactly what I did.
I started off with only 30 minutes per day and lo and behold, I eventually made something out of it.
So start off by blogging 30 minutes per day, and then increase the amount of blogs or content that you’re putting out after the first six months.
This will get you a good consistent blogging and content schedule.
You will notice though that instagram gets you more views, however, the quality of the views are more important to a blog.
Because I think it’s like a blog view is worth significantly more than a YouTube view, I can’t remember exactly what were the statistics.
So like a million blog views is worth around 100 million YouTube views or something like that.
Anyways, that’s how I would do it.
