How much work do I have to put into my music to really get anything out of it?

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all how much work you need to be putting into your music in order to actually make it big in the music world. 

Let’s get into it. 

Well how many hours a day do construction workers work? 

I always admired construction workers because they work long and hard hours for something that is really good for them.

They get exercise, they earn a good wage, they eat and sleep a good life. 

And on top of all that, they learn something which they can make their own business out of one day. 

And how many hours a day do you think a construction worker works? 

He works like 12 or sometimes 14 hours a day. 

Sometimes he earns 90 hours in a single week and man when those checks start hitting you, it’s unbelievable. 

Now that’s great and all but how does that apply to the musician? 

Well did you know that music is considered a trade in the Bureau of labor and statistics? 

So if you want to think about music as a trade, you have to put in the hours to really reap the rewards of getting the money. 

And you’re probably wondering to yourself, “German that’s stretching it. Yes Music might be a trade, but it’s not a trade in that sense.” 

Okay I hear you but let’s look at some other examples shall we?

How many hours a day do professional musicians work? 

If you look at the biggest artists out there today, you’ll actually find that their work ethic is impeccable. 

Some musicians say that they work between 10 and 12 hours a day especially when they’re touring, which is when they make the most amount of money. 

And It’s intense, literally just do a quick google search as to how many hours a day a typical musician actually works, and you’ll find that they work unbelievably large amounts of hours and get involved with a whole bunch of different projects. 

But that’s not all, they also have to put in dedicated hours into practicing their music and making new songs and promoting their music. 

It’s just too many hours and not enough time. 

And you’re probably wondering to yourself, “But German, those are professional musicians, it doesn’t apply to me.” 

Well let’s look at some more examples. 

Doctors, Lawyers, Teachers, Business owners, etc. etc. 

If you really look at any profession worth having, they will give you a lot of hours a week because in reality, that’s what’s needed in order to make a living. 

And everyone is on the same plan, They are trying to economize while getting the most bang for their buck. 

So when you have a job, even a cashier job could give you lot’s of hours and you end up making a good amount of money in your bank account just because you are out there grinding. 

I mean it’s all about hard work that you put in. 

So the more work you put into your career as a musician, the more you’ll get out of it. 

Therefore we can conclude that

The principle that has lasted throughout the generations has remained the same, if you work hard, you’ll get a lot of money. 

If you’re persistent and dedicated and won’t give up, then you will make a lot of money. 

And that is something that’s actually taught in the bible. 

So then we know, that God’s word is still alive, because if this is real, then he is real.
