Hey everyone, today, Let’s go over how you should promote your music and other revenue streams on your blog
Let’s get into it.
Promote only on the highest viewed blog posts.
So what happens is that you need to be promoting your revenues streams through your highest earning blog posts.
So on that post that gets you 300 views per month is more ideal than the one that’s only getting you 10 views per month.
And what you do is you diversify your income streams.
So say for example you have a song that you just released, you promote that on a few blog posts and then promote your Affiliate ads on another set of blog posts and then promote an E-book on another set of posts and so on and so forth.
It doesn’t just have to be a few, you could promote a song on however many blog posts you want, but just know that it’s really good for your money that you diversify how you make your money through your blog.
In an ideal world we would like to promote only our music on our blog, however it’s a sad world that we live in and therefore we cannot just promote our music.
We have to promote our T-Shirts too! Lol
So there is a statistic that says…
There is a common saying in the internet that says, “80% of our traffic is going to come from 20% or less of our blog posts.”
Now if I’m honest with you, so far that is absolutely certain.
I see that in my blog.
how only a select group of blog posts actually get a decent number of views.
But it’s not that bad.
It’s just the way it is.
This is the reason why we need to be constantly pushing out content because any one of our blog posts could actually stick.
I remember one time, I wrote a blog post and honestly, I thought to myself, “This is one of those blog posts that’s going to make a lot of views.”
and it never did
and then I had another set of blog posts and I found out that those blog posts were the ones that made the most amount of views.
And honestly, I saw the reason why they made so many views, it’s because actual work looked like it went into those blog posts.
And it wasn’t just things that I went about and wrote about.
It was well thought out and well written with long form content.
I thought the blog posts that I put up were really great.
Another reason why you should only promote on your highest earning blog posts is because.
If your blog has nothing but advertisements left and right, your blog might be flagged as spam by google
So it’s good to promote your revenue streams and make a living off of it, however, overdoing it might cause you to lose traction in google because if you have too many selling links then google might think that you’re just trying to spam and scam people.
Plus, if your blog posts aren’t receiving that many views, why waste the time and space to promote something on a blog post that only gets one view per year?
It doesn’t make sense to be honest with you.
Only promoting on your highest quality and best performing blog posts is the way to go.
