Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to talk about the nature of God.

Let’s get into it

God is a just God

So let’s talk about God being just first.

So often, people don’t like to think of God as a judge or a warrior or someone who has physical and real strength to punish people for the acts that they do.

However, let’s look at that more closely shall we?

If someone on earth right now decides to steal a car from someone else, would it be just to punish the thief or would you just let the thief walk around without any consequences?

You would expect the thief to receive a consequence for his actions, right!

And who do you think gave the judge or the officer the authority to actually punish the thief for their consequences, it’s God.

God is the one with that power to punish the thief for their actions.

And the fact that the thief is receiving a punishment for his actions is a result of the goodness of God.

Because that way, God can bring to justice what happened to the victim of the robbery and that’s good.

So God is just which means he has power over heaven and hell.

And likewise with the punishment on earth, God has authority to do whatever he pleases if someone just doesn’t want to listen to God.

And it’s actually good for us because that way, our lives remain peaceful and there is a boundary between evil that happens to us and ourselves.

So it protects us.

God is forgiving

However, the thing with God is that God is a god of second chances.

His very nature is in the fact that he wants to give us a second chance, and a third, and a fourth, but he wants us to come to the realization that the old ways that we were doing were not good. Which is the reason why even though God is the Lord of second chances, there still has to be consequences for our actions here on earth.

And God can give you second chances, second chances at life, second chances at marriage at your career, at your relationships.

God is so good that he wants to give you second chances.

Trust in God in all of your ways, and he will bless you with a second chance.
