Music Diary Entry: Time to start investing in myself

So what happens is that just lately, I’ve been thinking about investing in myself monetarily speaking into my music. 

Let’s talk about it.

I have UDEMY

So for those of you that don’t know, UDEMY is a platform where you can learn a vast array of subjects and get unaccredited certified in those subjects. 

And I actually already have 2 certificates from UDEMY, but I’m thinking about adding some more certificates to myself. 

I want to get certified in producing music and some more social media marketing certificates because that’s mainly what my music career revolves around. 

I want to start doing this because I think I’m at a point in my music career where it’s time to get serious. 

And I should start treating this gig like a full time or part time career. 

After all I could potentially earn good money doing these things that I’m doing with music. 

Time investments

RIght now, I’m actually really thinking about starting to wake up really early in the mornings and writing in my blog and writing music. The reason why is because I see that music takes a lot of time to do, and the early in the day that I get to do these things, the more time I have to perfect my craft and cover all of the things that I need to cover. 

Right now, I was dedicating about an hour a day into this blog, however, now, for about a week now, I have dedicated about 3 or 4 hours each day into the blog. 

But I know that I can do more. 

So these time investments are going to be the first thing that I’m going to do. 

Because if you don’t have a lot of money to invest, then you invest time and hard work into the things that you want and need. 

Sacrifices I’m going to make

I think now is the time to start sacrificing hanging out with friends in order to put in the work that I need in order to make these dreams a reality. 

What happens is that I used to hangout with friends and do some fun things but, I recently see that I rarely actually need that. 

What I really need to be doing is working on my musicianship because this can build a life for me. 

I used to go to this spot where me and my friends used to hangout at but I just don’t know about going there anymore. 

It used to be fun, but I don’t know. 

Anyways for now, I gotta put in the work.
