How to refresh your commitments to God

I actually like talking about this subject because it feels personal.

Let’s get into it.

You refresh by treating it like a relationship

So what happens is that your relationship with God is exactly that, a relationship.

So treat it as if though you are in a relationship with an actual person. 

And the great thing is that God actually does everything perfect in a relationship.

Like if you want someone to talk to, talk to God, pray to him, if you’re looking for direction, look for him read his word. 

almost always the deepest and darkest questions that we have for our lives are found in the Bible. 

And treat it as if though it’s a relationship.

I’m not saying that you joke around with God, though sometimes in our crazy minds it might seem like it, but I am saying spend time with God and you will see the beauty in him more often and more prevalent in your life.

Share the message of the gospel with the world. 

I mean God doesn’t just want you in heaven, he wants the world in heaven and Jesus said that the one who does the will of my father is the same friend of his.

So yeah.

Treat it like it’s something you need

In all reality, we need the wisdom of Jesus more than anything else. 

We need Jesus in our lives more than anything. 

He provides all that we need and want, he gives us strength to live, he heals us from our infirmities, he is our everything in life. 

So if it were me, treat God like he’s the dream job that you’ve always wanted. 

Like for me for example, I have always wanted to be a songwriter and if I could make songwriting my job, then I would work at it day and night all night long too. 

And if you treat God like you would treat the dream job you have then you would know which direction you need to take in life. 

Of course, I’m not saying to go out there and pray to God everyday for 12 hours a day, but I am saying to keep a constant state of mind thinking about what God would want you to do next. 

Treat God like the God that he is

He is God.

He is Lord. 

If we were to see a king walking on the street, our whole demeanor would change.

We probably would brighten our face to show a smile or something. 

But God, he is God. 

How much greater is he than a king.

He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. 

He is almighty and righteous and perfect. 

And he deserves everything in our lives.
