Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all some insight as to what is the Lord’s decision about eating meat.
Let’s get into it.
YES he does, it’s not sin to eat meat
So. I get this question, sincerely I do.
There are a few passages in the Bible that actually talk about the way that we are supposed to treat animals. And also a few passages that talk about our consumption of animals.
And the Bible is clear of two things.
The first thing is that it is okay and as a matter of fact God has laws as to the type of animals that we are to eat.
In today’s day and age, it means we can eat Chicken, Beef, and Fish.
There is no doubt about that.
However, the bigger question is, Should I eat meat with all of the animal abuse that goes on in the food industry?
And that is an excellent question.
This is the second thing that the Bible is clear about, it states to be kind to your animals. Be kind to the things that are feeding you. Which means that most of the practices that go on in the food industry are actually sin.
Yes it is fine to slaughter an animal for food consumption, however, it is not alright in the manner that we do it nowadays.
And I get it, you probably are wondering to yourself, “But German, Where do I get beef that isn’t slaughtered inhumanely?
Well there are alternatives. Sometimes they cost more.
But if you’re really concerned about it, it’s okay to have a big heart.
If you have such a big heart that you can’t stand to see animals die, God does not frown upon that.
And as a matter of fact, the Bible commends that.
The Bible states, “that a wise man regards the life of his beast.”
So yes, it is okay to be mindful of their lives and if you really feel as if though you cannot hurt an animal, it’s okay, and I wouldn’t call it sin either.
There are some people out there that say that a vegetarian lifestyle is healthier anyways.
But if you want to eat meat, don’t feel guilty about it and do your best to find animal friendly places that don’t follow the big ways on how to kill an animal.
Just with everything that comes to mind, don’t let it consume you. Don’t let saving animals consume you because animals will die in brutal manners in nature and in the hands of man. So it’s all a part of life, don’t be concerned about it too much.
Be more concerned about the Lord and how you can serve the Lord.
