Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all some recommendations on how to promote your own music.

Let’s get into it.

Start by trying the free methods first

So what happens is that when you first start to promote your own music, you’ll find that there are actually quite a few different ways that you could promote your music.

Ranging from free to ultra expensive.

And what happens is that when you first start out as a musician, you will find that you need to be very resourceful in the way that you spend your money.

And that means that you can’t be spending your resources willy nilly on things that really don’t make sense to spend your money on.

So what you have to do is really buckle down and embrace the horrible things that you need to go through in order to get your music career rolling.

And you want to know what the horrible thing that you need to go through is called?

It’s called patience.

You have to be willing to be patient with yourself to see a return on investment from your marketing efforts.

It’s true that if you were to fork over your money then you would see almost immediate results,

But even still paying money for advertisements on Spotify and Google really doesn’t cut it because you still need to pay a whole bunch of money in order to get something positive out of it.

Like I remember one time, I read in another music blog post that said if you were to start with no followers and no listeners and then you were to try and build up a following with money from scratch, then you would be spending like 10,000 dollars every six months on advertisements alone and you would need to do that over the span of about 2 years or something like that.

So regardless of if you want to spend money or not, you’re going to have to be patient with your marketing efforts.

So, it really just makes sense to try the free methods first, because either way you’re going to have to wait a while to see a positive ROI.

How’s it working for me?

Believe it or not, I have done some smart promoting on my blog and believe it or not, I am getting streams to my music.

And I’m getting a good amount of streams to my music.

It’s not like millions per month, but for a beginning music marketer it’s not bad.

My first save that I ever had was my sister, she saved my song on the first day of it’s release.

However, just yesterday, someone else saved my music as well.

And I got the notification on my Spotify for artists account that someone had saved my song onto their phone.

And not only that, but different people all around the world are listening to my music on spotify.

I see the statistics growing on my spotify for artists page.

I am getting some streams to my music on Apple Music, but it’s mainly Spotify that I’m getting my streams from.

And I can see it gaining traction!

So you know what, it’s a long slow haul but it’s definitely worth it.

And when I’m getting 10,000 views per month to my blog, then I’ll know for sure that I did something good.

Anyways hope this was of some help to you
