Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to talk about some fun things that are happening right now.
Let’s talk about it.
Don’t you think it’s fun being a musician with a day job?
So what happened is that just lately, I was thinking of all the fun that I have been having being a musician with a day job.
And I’ll be honest, it really is the life that I really wanted to live.
First off, I would be nowhere if it wasn’t for God.
God is the one who gave me the strength and the power to actually make this blog come true.
I could not have gotten this far if it wasn’t for the fact that the Lord of Lords was looking out for me and he wanted me to make this blog come true.
And the reason why I say that I think it’s fun being a musician with a day job is because it is fun.
I mean you are in a bit of a struggle when you’re a musician.
Because you got to pay your bills with your music and with your day job,
However, that shouldn’t stop you from living your dreams.
And just know that you can make your music dreams come true, it’s just that they require time and effort.
I think that most people get this big misconception with music

So what happens is that I have been around the music circuit for a bit.
And I can testify that there is a lot of good talent out there, however, there is also a lot of bad talent out there.
People who don’t really know much about music and they are honestly trying to get signed to a major label.
And I get it, you might think that you have talent and that music is “Opinion” based.
And even though music is “opinioned based” There is still a certain level of facts that you have to admit.
Like there is such a thing as a good singer and a bad singer, I have heard them before.
There is such a thing as a good guitar player and a bad guitar player
There is such a thing as a good musician and a bad musician.
And obviously, the record labels and the masses want a good musician.
And what happens is that, I have been to my fair share of open mics and concerts and venues and I see the same talent, people who think that they have talent but in reality, they are just beginner musicians.
So what happens is that when the census comes and tries to identify which musicians are actually making money and which ones aren’t.
Those bad musicians are a part of the mix.
So the census is not taking into a fact that there are serious musicians out there that take this seriously.
That’s why I feel as if though when you see the musician income reports, that’s why they are so low, it’s because it’s also talking about the income from those 1,000 stream soundcloud rappers. And those sub 500 followers rockstars.
But who are those serious musicians out there?
It’s those musicians who are in the recording studio, writing blogs, and actually selling music.
And don’t get me wrong, do not misquote me here.
Everyone starts out somewhere and if you’re one of those beginner musicians don’t get discouraged.
I’m just trying to say that the census doesn’t factor in everything which is why musicians incomes as reported by the census are so low.
But if you are a beginner keep going at it
I once started this blog as well.
And I hardly ever got any views on this blog.
I think my third month blogging, I got around 15 views the entire month.
That’s hardly any views.
And that’s definitely not making any money off of it.
So if you’re starting off, I know I kinda bashed beginner musicians out there, but do not stop just because I said this, keep going and remember that music is a long game.
