Late night bible studies, I wouldn’t drink

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all something that I was reading today. 

Let’s get into it.

I wouldn’t drink

So everyone knows how damaging alcohol can be. 

Some people like to drink it for social causes, like they drink just to have fun with other people.

and other’s drink so that they can get drunk and forget about the night. 

Whatever your reasons for drinking, I wouldn’t drink regardless of what happens. 

Now, I have tried alcohol in my past, but I did not continue it. 

I just drank one jack and coke.

For anyone that wants to know. 

However, I know exactly what the Bible says about those kind of things. 

And actually it was a friend who was peer pressuring me into drinking it. 

He didn’t want to drink it but he drank it I guess just cause he is an adult and he can drink it. 

lol. 

Well I drank it when I was 22 and I am currently 29 and i have not had a drink since. 

I’m proud of myself. 

However, I will say that it was God who made that happen. 

God was the one who gave me strength to say no to all the times that alcohol was ever brought up. 

I don’t drink today by the strength of God. For God is the sole reason why I am not drinking or smoking. 

It is not because I’m some upstanding man, even though I do a lot of correct things, the Lord is the one responsible for all of those correct things. 

But anyways, the Bible verse that I was reading was Proverbs 39:1-9.

It was talking about the ways that are correct unto a prince. 

And why it’s important to not drink. 

And honestly, I saw this wisdom long time ago. 

I saw that it’s not good to drink from a very early age. 

And I wanted to uphold the word of the Lord in my heart. Not because I am any good, but because the Lord blessed me. 

The Lord blessed my heart and I am not good, he had favor in me.

The Lord loved me. 

I highly encourage you parents that are out there to take your kids to church and have them read the Bible. 

I read the Bible when I was a kid, and today, I am reaping the benefits, I reaped the benefits all of my life, but now the Lord is giving me strength to do this life with all my heart. 

He has blessed me and I am nothing, he is everything.
