Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all the gear that I use to record music.
Let’s get into it.
2 guitars
So the first two things that are my main thing that I use, are my guitars.
I have one acoustic and one electric.
So yeah, I have these guitars because there are different uses for each of them.
The acoustic to write songs and create a great foundation with the song.
and the electric for when I want to rock out.
Both are great and they have their purposes however, I will say that the main instrument that I use is the acoustic guitar.
Why? It’s because I feel like the acoustic is such an awesome instrument to have on a song.
I mean like, you may not hear it, but even those hard rock songs could have acoustic elements in it and it just adds an extra layer that just sounds really nice.
I almost always include at least one acoustic track in my songs.
My IPad
This goes without say, but in all reality, if you want to be a musician who records and releases music, then you honestly have to have some sort of computing device on you.
Whether that’s your phone or your computer or an IPad, you need to have something to record and obtain information in.
Yes pen and paper works really well, but honestly, it’s hard to be the effectiveness of an IPad or IPhone.
I mean you can jot down notes in one of these and you can record your own voice doing guitars and singing melodies.
I mean like this is a really powerful tool.
Which brings me to the next piece.
My DAW
So what happens is that you should have a DAW on your IPad or IPhone and be able to work on it somehow or someway.
The DAW is the Digital Audio Workstation.
And it’s the software that allows us music producers to create music.
Just like how Word is the software that allows us to jot down documents on a computer, a DAW allows us to create and record great music.
If it was me, I would use FL Studio to be honest with you.
It’s really helpful and I highly recommend it.
I’m not getting paid by FL Studio to say that, I just say it because it’s really helpful.
Last but not least, the Lord
I would be nowhere if it wasn’t for the Lord.
The Lord has given me great things and I am so eternally grateful for them.
I would not have this blog right now if it were not for the Lord.
The Lord has blessed me abundantly with it and I am to take care of it.
I recommend anyone out there who wants to make it as an independent musician that they consult with the Lord first and ask him for his help.
The Lord will guide you.
