Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all some habits that have helped me to be a good blogger.
Let’s get into it.
The first six months
So the first six months of your blogging career should be focused on committing to blogging every day.
And it doesn’t really matter how long of a blog post it is but just as long as it’s around 30 minutes of blogging practice.
Now that blogging practice has to be mainly writing practice but it can also be just blogging technical know how as well. Whether that’s actually going in and setting up links or tagging your blog posts or adding categories, whatever it is that you are doing it has to accumulate around 30 minutes of practice.
So in your first 6 months just practice doing that.
In your second 6 months try and amp things up a bit.
Maybe commit an hour of practice each day by either adding more writing time, adding more technical know how, researching more often, or a combination of all of those things.
Also, Don’t be scared to start something new.
When you have something going on in your life
You keep blogging.
Blogging is one of those things that you have to maintain consistency over a long period of time.
Like I remember my first few months blogging, I had something really big happen to me and I had to pick up a second job.
And on top of that, I also had to go to college.
So I was working 2 jobs and going to college, it really was a lot of work to be quite honest with you.
And I still managed to find time to write in the blog.
And not only that, but I was doing record time with the blog.
I think I was blogging around 6 blog posts a day at the time.
Which is a lot of blog posts for those of you that don’t know.
And right now, I’m working a full-time job and I’m still putting out blog posts.
Don’t get me wrong, I have slowed down quite a bit, but that’s because I haven’t gotten the groove of it all in my system just yet.
But I’m not stopping just in case you guys are wondering and it’s going to pay off one day.
Trust in God about that.
But what I’m trying to get at with that is that you’re supposed to persist in all that you do.
Yes you might have a job, yes you might have college, you might have other responsibilities.
But don’t let that stop you from getting something good.
Know that God blesses the hard worker and he will bless you with all that you have if you just commit to him and commit to your work that you have.
