Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all the reasons why a musician should blog.

Let’s get into it.

Reason 1 It’s for your website

So believe it or not, even in this digital age where everyone is on a social media, it’s still very impressive to have your own website where people can see your content in all it’s glory.

If you’re trying to get signed to a record label, they will want to see your own website and the content that’s related to it.

In all reality, sometimes record labels really want to sell the image that someone is really about the life that they are trying to portray.

And if you are a Christian musician and you have Godly blog posts on your blog, then people will take you as a serious Christian musician.

On top of that, it’s easier to create content on a blog than it is to make videos for YouTube. So if you’re out there and you’re trying to make videos on YouTube, it’s okay I guess, but blogging is a lot more easier to do.

Reason 2 It helps with songwriting

So any writing in general is going to help in your songwriting.

More so blogging because you are engaging the creative juices in your brain.

When you blog, you have to be creative in what you say, and when you’re songwriting, it’s nothing but creativity, so you learn to spin things in different ways to create new and unique sounds.

Your lyrics will shine when you blog a lot.

I know because my lyrics sound good and I blog almost every day.

It will also teach you to be resourceful in the words that you choose.

There is a saying in music that when you write a song, you want to use common language that is found almost everywhere.

However, we’re supposed to express ourselves in a way unique from other people.

This means that we have to take the same words that have already been said for years and use them in songs all over in unique ways.

blogging will help with that.

Reason 3 it’s great for promotion

When your blog starts getting between 1,000 and 10,000 views per month, it starts to really put pressure on you to keep going.

Because now, you know for sure that you have something good.

And now you know that you have something working.

And not only that, but you can use that to promote your music.

When you start to get a good amount of views to your blog, just start updating your blog posts that get a lot of views and put up links to your music on those blog posts.

People will listen to your music if you do it in the right way and the more people that listen to your music, the more money that goes into your bank account.

This was one of my primary reasons as to why I wanted to make a blog in the first place, it was to promote the word of God on the internet. I also wanted to promote my music.

Both of those reasons remain a priority in this blog even to this day.
