Why I think that the IPhone is so essential for the Christian musician

Hey everyone! Today, I’m going to share with you all why I’m such an IPhone fanboy. 

Let’s get into it.

It’s easy to use

When you’re a musician, you actually have a lot of complex things that are going on in your life. 

You are balancing work, friends, college, relationships, and your music career. 

Music can be complex already on it’s own, let alone the fact that you need to learn how to use the technology behind it all. 

I remember back when I first started using a DAW, it was a very complex system and I had to learn how to use it all on my own. 

If you’ve never messed around with a DAW, you have a long way to go until you fully understand how to use it but just know that it’s a piece of software and sometimes hardware that can be really complex. 

When you have an IPhone, the phone itself is enough to do many musical things that you need for a music career to succeed. 

It’s enough to get your social media game going strong, it’s enough to start recording music, it’s enough to put blog posts out there. 

I mean like an IPhone is really what you need to focus on a music career. 

Can’t you do all of those things with a different type of phone?

You probably could. However, I had a few different types of phones in my life and I’ll be honest with you, it’s just not as good as an IPhone. 

I have had all the different types of phones that you could ask for and it’s just not as proficient and effective as an IPhone. 

Don’t get me wrong, I bet someone out there has probably done it, but personally I just don’t want to get into getting out of something that’s not broken. 

You could write your prayers on your phone. 

I actually write my prayers on my phone and if I’m honest with you, it changes my life. 

Having my prayers on. My phone just gives me reassurance that I have prayed that day. 

I remember once my pastor asked me if I really did pray and I said yes I do and he said, “Do you really though?”

and I didn’t know how to prove to him that I do actually pray and so I started writing down my prayers because it’s my proof to myself that I did pray that day. 

It’s proof to myself that I am praying to God and that I am putting my trust in him. 

I know I don’t need proof but it helps me and my confidence in my relationship with the Lord because sometimes people will literally tell you that you don’t pray and I’m like yes I do and then I have proof that I did pray. 

Write lyrics on your phone

When you’re going throughout your day, you could be writing lyrics in your head and then one will stick out so you write it in your phone. 

Inspiration can strike at any time and you have to be prepared for what inspiration could take you. 

Record your musical thoughts

Record melodies that you write, record musical phrases that you thought of, record anything musical that you like.

The IPhone is really ideal for the musician.
