Big changes to my blog

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all some big updates that I’m doing in my blog. 

Let’s get into it.

Switched to a custom domain

So the first big change that I’ve done in my blog is that I’ve switched to a custom domain. 

I’ve actually been wanting to do this for a while now but now I actually had the ability to do it. 

The switch to a custom domain actually means that there will be more visitors to my site in the future. 

How many?

I don’t know but I have read that it could double my click through rate. 

And that actually is what I wanted to hear. 

Right now, my blog has managed to remain fairly constant throughout it’s blogging statistics and I think I know why. 

What happens is that I had to slow down on my blog for a little bit because I actually started a new job. 

And I slowed down because it actually took a good deal of my time to focus on the job that I wanted to focus on. 

Not saying that this blog wasn’t a focus, but it was something that I needed to just buckle down on.

But I switched to a Custom Domain and I’m pretty sure that you guys have noticed already. 

But yeah. That’s the first thing.

The second thing is that I’m promoting my blog on social media

I’m trying to reach an audience on social media. 

I read on WordPress that by sharing your blog posts on social media, you can actually increase blog traffic by a multiple of 10.

So that’s exactly what I need and I just need to share my blog posts on social media now. 

However, there’s a problem with this.

The information that I saw said that I need to promote my blog posts on social media.

However, they don’t say how to exactly do that.

I mean do I just share the blog posts on social media and call it a day? Or do I take on a more active approach to social media and spend a great deal of time commenting on other posts and replying to people. 

Because I feel like if I were to do that, then that would take time out of my blogging day where I could’ve written another blog post.

Anyways, I’m going to be sharing links on social media for now we’ll see where it goes from there. 

The last thing that I’m doing is I’m starting to monetize

I feel like the next step in my blog is to literally start making money from my blog.

I literally have done almost everything in my blog except make a living from it. 

I’ve made big numbers from my blog stats, I’ve promoted my music on my blog and to top it all off, I actually shared the gospel with the world with this blog. 

So now, it’s time that I start making money off of my blog. 

I’ve already started to do it and so far, it was making good progress but it slowed down a little bit. 

Anyways. That’s all I got for you guys for today. I’m really tired and I’m going to try and get some much needed shut eye.
