Music Diary Entry: A New challenge for myself

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all a new challenge that I’m putting onto myself. 

Let’s get into it. 

The challenge of making 100 dollars per month while only averaging 500 views per month to my blog

So I have read on some articles that it is a challenge but feasible to actually make 100 dollars per month from your blog with a blog that gets around 500 views per month. 

If I’m quite honest with you guys, I’m starting to get past the 500 views per month mark. 

I actually passed 500 views per month a few months already. I hit 600 views in one month last year in November and 700 views this past august. My biggest month so far has been around 900 views in a single month. 

But I digress. 

And the thing is that right now, I’m doing some things that are supposed to boost my traffic by a lot. 

The first thing that I did was that I switched to a custom domain.

and the second thing that I am doing is that I’m promoting my blog posts on social media. 

The latter of which is supposed to increase my blog views by a multiple of 10 in a few short months. 

So If I average 500 views per month to my blog and I increase it by a multiple of 10, then you know the deal. 

And then the switching to a custom domain means that I’m going to double my click through rate. 

And so If I double my click through rate, and I multiply my views by 10 

That means this year, I should be hitting around 10,000 views per month by December. 

In theory of course, this is supposed to happen in theory. 

And this is not saying that this is going to happen, but I am doing the steps needed to correctly get my blog to where it needs to be at. 

And the Lord will be the one to help me to get there. 

But as of right now, I’m going to try and make some money from the traffic that I’m getting right now and I’m going to set that as a challenge for myself.

I actually have seen in a lot of other publications that 500 views per month isn’t actually enough to actually make any sort of money. 

It actually states that even people with 1,000 views per month struggle to even get 20 dollars from their monetization methods. 

And actually I have seen that a lot. 

however, I have also seen that 500 views per month is enough to get started. 

I’m going to set that as a challenge for myself. 

And the challenge is that I’m going to make 100 dollars per month on my blog with only 500 views per month. 

I might fail along the way, but you know what? It will all be worth it because it will be a learning experience for me.
