Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share the fact that I’m going to try and get signed to a record label.

Let’s get into it

Why I never wanted to get signed to a record label?

So what happened is that when I first started actually trying to sell music, I actually came to the realization that the only thing that you needed to do in order to sell a lot of records is work ethic.

However, up until what point can you do it all yourself?

I mean don’t get me wrong, I’ve been doing it all myself for years. I’ve been writing, producing, mixing, and mastering all myself.

But all of those things need in reality a special person to dedicate to that craft.

I mean it takes time to actually learn how to mix and produce, and it takes a whole nother time to learn how to write songs.

So right now, I think I’m going to try and get signed to a record label.

I never wanted to because I felt sincerely that I could do it on my own. And as a matter of fact people have done it on their own and even some artists first made a living off of their own before they got signed to a label.

However, right now, I have a lot of leeway behind the record label.

The Lord has blessed me with this.

And the things that I’m about to tell you believe it or not is sometimes good enough to get signed to a record label, which is the reason why I’m trying this now.

My Music blog

This blog is my biggest puller in terms of power over the record label.

Right now I’m getting between 500 and 700 views per month to my music blog.

And that’s power.

It might not be a lot of power, but it’s power and it’s going to set me apart from other musicians.

I feel like this is my most valuable asset because I’ve been working at it for such a long time and it’s very special to me.

I don’t know, it’s just strong to me.

I’ll be honest with you, my Facebook Videos get like 100 times more traffic and interactions than my blog does.

But the thing with my blog is that I have done some research, mainly google and internet forums, and I’ve found that a blog is significantly more stronger for pull through in a lot of different circumstances.

So yes, I do think that this is my strongest asset still even though I consistently get hundreds of more views per Facebook Video that I post up.

My Facebook

Everytime I post up a video on Facebook, I literally get hundreds of views.

I think the lowest viewed video that I’ve ever had was like 89 views. But I literally Just posted up a video about 13 hours ago and I already have 66 views and 4 likes on the video

My Facebook has to be the place where I get the most amount of traffic.

Facebook, my second biggest asset.

My last few big assets

X, Instagram, and Tik-Tok

On X, I have around 400 followers, On Instagram, my reels get about a hundred views everytime I post up, and so Far I’m on a roll.

I think right now I have enough power to ask record labels to sign me.

And on top of it all, my music just keeps getting better

This is where it all resides now.

How great of a song I can make is going to separate me from the wannabe musicians and from the ones getting signed.

I think that my biggest confidence boosters are a few things.

For one, Paul Loggins promotion company gave me 5 stars out of 5 stars and recommended that I put my music on the radio.

I think honestly, that if it weren’t for this, I wouldn’t be taking music as seriously as I would be right now.

Especially because the song that I sent to Paul Loggins was the first song that I ever wrote.

For 2, I went and performed one of my original songs to a full house at a brand new gig a few years ago and guess what happened?

This brand new house filled with people that I don’t know gave me a standing ovation.

Lastly and this is the biggest factor as to why my music is getting better.

My dad just recently said that my latest songs are working. He says that these songs that I’m making actually have catch.

And I’ll tell you something, I have been writing songs and showing them to my dad for years and now, my dad is telling me that these songs that I’m coming out with are the biggest ones that I’ve written.

Yes, I’ll take that any day.

In conclusion

I’m going to try and get signed to a record label as a songwriter.

The way that I’m going to do it is by writing songs and posting them on Facebook and tagging the record labels in the post.

We’ll see where this goes.
