Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all some new things that I’m doing in my musicianship.

Let’s get into it.

Trying new songwriting techniques.

So for the longest time, I actually started the song in a specific manner.

And the reason for that is because it just made sense to me to start the song with the chords first.

Like I would just pick up a guitar and just start strumming chords to create a foundation in the song.

However, lately, I’ve been doing something new and unique.

Actually I’m doing something that every hit songwriter recommends that you do when you write a song.

And that is to write the melody first in specific, the hook.

Start out by writing the hook first and thenn focus the reset of the song around that hook.

So literally for the past few days, I’ve been writing songs with the hook first and then the melody and then the rest of the song.

And I will be honest with you, those hit songwriters were on to something when they said that, that was the way that you’re supposed to write music.

I’ll be honest with you, These songs that I’m making nowadays sound soo good.

The songs that I do that start with the chords sound good too don’t get me wrong.

But these songs that start with the melody, just give it a different feel to the song.

It sounds so good this new perspective that’s taking my songwriting by storm.

But I will be honest with you, everytime I write with a new way to write, I always find a new melody, or a new chord progression or something new.

And it sounds good.

I think I better get sibelius and upgrade my software on my IPad for my music.

This is going to improve my songwriting abilities.

Anyways, I’ll let you guys know how it goes in the future.

German Gonzalez, signing out!

P.S. Update on getting signed to a record label. I’ve put up some Facebook Videos and tagged Capitol Christian music Group to those videos and posts and it’s only been 3 days and they have put me as a rising fan on Facebook.

Now, by my understanding, a Rising fan has to be manually entered by someone who administers that page. So that means, that someone out at Capitol Christian music Group is looking at my Videos and Posts and saying this dude rocks.

And you know what they say, “Anyone in the Label is part of the A&R team.”

A&R is the part of a record label that is in charge of signing new artists.

So, I’m really hopeful for this.

P.S.S.

Also, I’m working on a college degree.

I might be a musician, but I am Christian first. And the bible states that we are to make our parents happy for the things we do.

And I’ll be honest my parents would be really happy if I were to get my degree.

I haven’t gotten it yet.

But they would be happy and so I will do so because God is worth every single part of my worship.
