Music Diary Entry: A Record Label asked me for more demos

Hey everyone! Today, I got some exciting news. Let’s get into it.

“Don’t hesitate to send more demos our way.”

So what happens is that a few days ago, I started sending my music to record labels. 

And I’ll be honest here, I was doing it trying to get signed as a songwriter, not an artist. 

I figure I might as well try. I talk about getting signed to a record label all the time and music theory that’s good, but I’ve never been signed by a record label. 

So how can I teach it?

Well, I have read on my own accord and researched myself the things needed to get signed to a record label. 

And so far, I have the things needed to get signed to a record label. 

And now it’s time to put it in practice. 

And guess what, something happened. 

So I sent my Demo to about 20 record labels this past week and 1 replied. 

Actually the biggest record label that I sent it to replied. 

And I’m not going to talk about what they said in the Email, but at the bottom they said, “Don’t hesitate to send more demos our way.”

Now, this is already big news because usually big record labels don’t email back. They will not get in contact with you unless they feel like something big is going on. 

And the fact alone that they emailed me back is already big news. 

But on top of that, they encourage me to send them more demos. 

Yes, I’ll take that any day. 

This is a big step in the right direction. 

This means that they liked my music and they want to hear more. 

It is the Lord who has done this.

I would be nothing without the Lord. 

I may have this victory, But I prayed about this for a long time now, and the Lord has responded and he is victorious.

So yeah, I haven’t been on here for a few days because I’ve been focusing on creating music and getting better musically.
