How to live the music life Updated 2025

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all my take on how to live the musician life. 

Let’s get into it. 

If you’re not ready to work, then don’t bother.

Look, let’s get right down to business. 

In every job that you go to, you are going to have to work and work hard. 

In a sales job, you put in long hours. 

as a Doctor, you put in overtime.

Police Officers can work overtime. 

And in all of these jobs that are worth it, you will have to work hard and a lot in the beginning. 

So like, you should not be dismayed at the slow progress of the journey. 

It’s going to take time. 

It’s going to take effort. 

Same thing with music. 

So like, if you’re going to work hard at something, you might as well work hard at something that you are good at and like to do. 

Like music. 

Work hard at music, work at it like your life depends on it.

Because the future of your life really does depend on it. 

Get a stable job or go to college

When you get out of high school, all of your musical education should have been enough to get you going in the music world. 

However, there might still be some things that you need to fine tune. 

Or maybe you don’t know how to mix or master or use a DAW. 

It’s fine. 

But you’re going to need to make a living or do something else in case your music career fails. 

Because all too many times, music careers do fail. 

The thing about it is that in your early years, try and pick up a job that would enable you to continue your music career. 

Something that preferrably pays the bills. 

I would suggest going into sales. 

Sales is one of those things that you don’t need a college degree and you could start almost immediately. 

Sometimes you need a college degree, but a high school diploma is what you need for most circumstances. 

Sales is also very good paying. 

So, I know this sounds really hard to believe, but you’re just going to have to tough it out for a few months to a couple of years and get good at sales while you develop your music career. 

It really is just like that. 

Now how did I do it? 

Now if I’m honest with you, I did it sort of that way. 

But what happens is that life can get in the way of you accomplishing the things that you want to do.

And yeah, a lot of pain can come in between those years that you’re working on yourself. 

So what I’m going to say now is to be prepared to set yourself back sometimes. 

Like, it happens guys. 

Sometimes you don’t graduate college, sometimes you don’t do the dreams you wanted in time, Sometimes life just hits hard. 

So, don’t be scared because sometimes you will be set back. 

But trust me when I say that God is so good that he gives us the things that we need and want if we work hard enough and pray about it hard enough. 

The Lord is perfect and just every single day.
