Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all a cool part of my life that’s going on right now.
Let’s get into it.
The Grind
There is a saying that every musician who ever does something in life does.
And it’s the grind.
And the grind, is literally the time in life where you have your full time job, you are going to college, you are working on your music and you make it work.
And right now, I feel so blessed because I think now I have entered into the grind.
I remember back in the day my music friends and I would dream of a time where we would enter into the grind.
And we would be in our band and we would be just talking about our dreams and about how badly we wanted it.
And of course I didn’t end up doing anything with them.
But I myself ended up being the one going through the grind myself.
Like I’m not going to lie, it’s overwhelming.
It’s like a ton of work that I need to do.
I have to make demos because the record labels are asking for it. I have to complete projects for school. And on top of it all, I’m working like 50 hours a week at a day job.
NO JOKE, it’s seriously overwhelming but I absolutely love it because I’m finally doing the things that I always wanted to do.
These are literally the times where I thank God because he is giving me the things that I always prayed for.
I would be nothing without God
You guys know me, I always have to give credit where credit is due.
Like I have this big acknowledgement towards the Lord Jesus.
I have a big acknowledgement towards him because I literally prayed for all of these things and he is the one who made it happen.
Like I remember a time where nothing was going on in my life.
I remember about 8 years ago, I was a starving artist working 15 hours a week at a Pizza place surviving off of tips.
And I remember how I prayed to God to bring me out of that hole that I was in.
And surely and slowly, he brought me out of everything that I was in.
All hail God.
But I mean like it’s not just the Job, and the music, and the college that really gets me.
It’s the fact that God made and blessed everything that I ever prayed for.
This blog that you’re reading right now, is currently getting between 500 and 700 views per month.
And though that might not seem like a lot, It’s still a considerable number considering the fact that I had no college when I did this.
I had no professional writing experience.
God also blessed me in even the hobbies that I ever had.
I’m not saying I’m a professional weightlifter, but God has given me some impressive numbers on my weightlifting statistics.
I just hit 205 on the bench for 2 sets of 6.
I hit a 245 squat for 2.
and a 250 Deadlift.
And that’s not even the end of it.
You guys know how I play pool right? I was invited to go play on a pool team.
Like literally guys, these types of things don’t happen to people.
Why is it happening to me.
It literally has nothing to do with my own strength, it can’t be my own strength because I gave up long ago.
It has to be God. It has to be Jesus.
Let me share with you guys a bible verse. Deuteronomy 28 verses 1-8 actually has a promise from God and it states that if you listen to what God has to say, then he will bless you in all that you do.
And we know as Christians that the promises of God are set in us if we listen to him.
All Hail God
