Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all a little thing that I noticed is becoming too widespread popular amongst musicians.
Let’s get into it.
What’s wrong with the day job?
So I see too many times musicians trying their best to get out of their day jobs.
And I get it, you want to live the rockstar life.
You want to live a life of luxury and fast lane.
You want to live a life where you’re driving Lamborghini’s, Ferraris, have million dollar mansions, and what not.
However, I must really advise against thinking the way that you’re thinking.
Sure it sounds fun.
But what truly is winning?
Is winning having a day time job with benefits and playing side gigs with your music so that you are always on top?
Or is winning truly having that mansion in Beverly Hills?
I mean I personally don’t understand anymore why I would even want the house in Beverly Hills, it probably has a whole bunch of problems in it anyways.
But if I’m being completely honest with you, I feel like winning to me is having a wife, having 3 or 4 kids in my house, having a couple cars that work, And just living a life where I see my kids become successful and live their own lives.
That’s what I see.
And right now, me of all people are in a strong position to see way more than that.
I mean right now my blog does get views, I do have a great job, I’m going to college.
I mean there are so many things that I can do right now with my life and honestly, I don’t want something that’s going to separate me from God.
And I feel if I were to have all of those things that come with rich people, then I wouldn’t even like the money anymore.
I’ll be a rich man under one condition
I will become a rich man under the condition and I’m going to pray about this, that I will never forget about God. I will become a rich man under the condition that I will always have God in my heart.
There is no one who is greater than God. There is no one who is mightier than God.
I will do it, but the Lord has to be the first one on my mind every time I receive a check. Every time I earn money, I want the Lord to take his dues.
May the Lord take what is his from everything that I ever own.
May everything that is mine, whether that be my body, my clothes, my jobs, my money, my houses, my cars, my guitars, may it all serve the Lord.
Let everything of mine be for the Lord.
