Hey everyone! So today, I wanted to share with you all a shout out to Mom and dad about my musical journey. Let’s get into it.

The reason why they got me the guitar in the first place

I remember when I had asked about the guitar in the first place.

I asked once and that was it.

However, my parents they got me the guitar.

Years later, and I’m talking nearly a decade of music later, they confessed to me something.

They said, “German, we got you that guitar but in reality we didn’t expect you to do anything with the guitar. We just got it for you so you would shut your mouth about wanting a guitar.”

And I’m like, “Okay that’s hilarious.”

Because I ended up doing so much with the guitar that it’s impossible to actually tell them that they gave me the best Christmas present I ever had in my life with that guitar.

I did so much with that guitar.

It was a Wal-Mart guitar!!!

It was a real guitar, but it was a Wal-Mart guitar.

And my dad was like, “I ain’t getting him a guitar cause he’s just going to pick it up and leave it.”

But I didn’t leave it, I kept it and I kept doing so much with it. Haha!!

They got that guitar so I would stop talking about getting a guitar, but I ended up being the next Carlos Santana on that thing.

They even made a marching band show with me featuring it on the electric guitar!!!

Whatever happened to that guitar?

I got that guitar in the 6th grade and what happened is that in the 9th grade, I had a couple of friends and they were actually twins and one of them asked me if he could borrow my guitar so he could play a gig.

I said fine.

And he came over, took the guitar and amp, and left.

And I never saw that guitar ever again.

When I was a Junior in high school, I asked him again what happened to that guitar?

And he said, “German, I will be honest, I pawned that guitar and got like 20 bucks for it.”

and I was so furious with it and I said, “Was it at least a hot girl that you took out with that money?”

And his brother was like, “Oh German found out!!!”

And he looked at me and said, “How did you know I took out a girl with that money?”

And I said, “You Don’t think I know how this goes?!?!?!”

It was funny like crazy on that day, I laughed at it but my parents were very upset with me because i had done so much with that electric guitar.
