Hey everyone! Things are happening right now, and before I share with you all the a lot of things are happening, I just want to say that I would be nowhere if it wasn’t for the fact that the Lord Jesus was there guiding me all the way through it all.

Let’s get into what’s going on

So an A&R representative in the music industry is someone who is in charge of looking for new talent to sign to the record label.

Now usually, it doesn’t matter how big a record label is because they will get inundated with demos and EPKs every day.

So in most circumstances a record label will not get in contact with you if you send them a demo or an EPK. The only reason why a record label will get in contact with you is because they want to sign you onto their roster.

Now the picture that I’m about to show you is a screenshot of an email that i received from the biggest record label that I sent my music to.

This was the only record label who contacted me back.

The A&R Representative is talking about how they didn’t think my music was quite the fit for their record label however, at the end, it states, “as you hone your sound and writing skills, please do not hesitate to send future demos our way.”

Now a demo is a sample of your music. What happens is that I had sent them a demo that had a few songs that I wrote, sang, Produced, and mixed and mastered all myself.

Now the big news is that a record label even got back to me.

But on top of the fact that they got back to me, they also want to hear more demos!?!?!?!?

Yes I will take that win every day!

How did I manage to get a record label of this stature to notice me?

Obviously this wasn’t an overnight thing.

Let’s talk about all of the things that I personally did in order to become noticed by a record label.

First off I am an excellent musician.

I sing, play guitar, piano, bass guitar, rap, and create hip-hop beats.

I have also won awards in music, I release music, and I’ve gotten some pretty cool things because of music.

I have been a musician for 20 years of my life.

And did you know that the average person signed to a record label is 30 years old.

So the fact that I’m 30 and I’m about to get signed to a record label just means that I’m following standards.

The next thing that I did, which I will say was probably the last thing that i needed to do in order to start getting noticed by record labels is that I created a following on the internet.

Currently I’m getting between 400 and 700 views per month to my music blog. I have around 460 Followers on X and on my Facebook Videos I consistently get between 400 and 800 views per video.

And when you are contacting these labels it’s important that you say those things.

So here is the literal email that I sent to this record label in order for them to notice me.

“Hello, my name is German Gonzalez and I’m a Christian musician. I currently am getting between 400 and 700 views per month to my music blog, I’m getting several hundreds of views every time I post up my facebook videos, and I have around 400 followers on X. This is the demo that I created and I hope you like it.”

And then a link to my demo.

But guess what?

The Lord has been gracious and blessed me this past September and October and actually added to that resume!

In September and October my song got 900 streams in 2 months!

And the only thing that i did to promote that was that i released a single music video on Tik-Tok.

And guess what else, I don’t have a large following on Tik-Tok.

This literally means that if my music had the chance, it would take off.

So right now, I need to make another demo and this time, I’m going to send it with that bit of information and see what they say.

This is so exciting!!!!
