Every good thing is hard to obtain, but, worth the effort. Spiritual lessons can be hard to learn period but, spiritual lessons are important to learn because they teach us something holy. I believe that the hardest lesson to learn is the lesson of humility. Humility is hard because our sin nature wants to be prideful and wants to be put up high. However, we are no one to be put on high. The only one that’s worth being put on high is God, no one else. God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit have all the right to have glory. Let’s talk about humility and why it’s so hard to learn

Humility in a Nutshell

Humility is being lowly; it’s knowing that you are nothing compared to what’s really out there. If you humble yourself, you learn, grow, and become stronger, both physically, mentally and spiritually. Being humble is a good thing. Humbleness can save your life, bring out kindness, make you shine. When you are humble, you shine to your friends. I am a guitarist and as a guitarist you have the temptation to basically go to everyone you meet and say, hey “I play guitar and that’s why I’m better than you.” However, I realized that no one really cares if you play guitar or do music unless they ask for it. That was a humbling lesson, I looked at myself and said you know what, how could the guitar change who I was? I’m not like that, I love God and I know that I’m no one to be praised God is. So, I kept practicing the guitar and building my skills but at the same time learning when it’s appropriate to bring up the guitar and when it’s a good time to stay quiet. Because of this action, I saw my friends grow and eventually everyone wanted to hear what I could do.

Through humility, you are actually stronger because God is with you. God knows a humble heart when there is one and God teaches that heart with everything that he’s got. I remember when I accepted God into my life, it actually wasn’t that hard but it required humility. My pastor tells me later on that it takes a ton of humility to accept God into your life but it’s worth it.

Thanks for listening in on this blog post, I hope I gave a really good lesson for all of the kids and maybe people going through a rough time. Remember God is with you and pray to God, read the bible, go to church, and stay humble -German Gonzalez

Remember that you can go to heaven no matter what you’ve done (John 3:16)
