Whenever I go through hardships, I always tell myself one thing, never doubt God. In this life, there will be hardships and there will be pain, there will be suffering and there will be shame. However, we cannot blame God or even accuse him of treachery when we were the ones who brought it upon ourselves. Today I’m going to talk to you guys about what to do when hardships arise.

When hardships arise, get on your knees and pray

I know that it’s difficult to do, especially when all hope seems lost and you’re running through your last bit of inspiration and love. However, as Christians, we are called to be soldiers in God’s army. What do soldiers do? They fight in wars, go into battle, and they are expected to win. We are soldiers of God’s army, but we aren’t even expected to win all of our battles as part of the Lord’s army. As part of the Lord’s army, we are expected to do our best and if we lose, well that’s o.k. because God has our back and God is the one who will win our battles for us.

Seek help from the right people

I oftentimes tell people that if you want solid advice about sensitive subjects, then you need to talk to people with authority. You should not talk to your friends about these kind of conversations because they could be going through similar things and don’t know how to appropriately respond to it. Let’s talk about dating for instance, I used to ask my friends how they ask out a girl and they would just respond with, just ask her out, and I would say with what words, and they would say just ask her out. That doesn’t really help me much. But, when I asked someone who knew how to ask out a girl, like an adult, they would tell me their experience and what they would say. I remember once my teacher said that her husband had asked her out by saying “would you like to get some coffee with me?” and she said yes, she found him attractive and he was nice so she said yes. Anyways my point is that you have to ask people with authority. Not the random person on the street, but teachers, parents, doctors, pastors, people that would actually care about you is who you need to talk to.
