Music career: A new chapter in my music career

Hey everyone! So today, I’m trying to figure out a few things in my music career. 

Before we get into that, let’s have our moment of silence. 

At this time, I would like us to pray to God to help us to become the Christian that we are supposed to become. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray to God for these things.

Music career

So as of lately, My music gear has started to break down on me. 

Absolutely everything. My laptop has started to crash and blackout, my mic broke and doesn’t record properly, my studio headphones broke (They still work, it’s just the frame that’s broken), I think my interface is still okay but it could be the reason why my microphone broke, even my guitar is missing parts for me to play live.

In reality, I can still make music with what I have, I just can’t record it. 

So I’m probably going to start something pretty soon, a Kickstarter

My Kickstarter

I’m going to try and raise funds for the next part of my music career. I need some software and hardware upgrades in order to make a fully functioning home studio. 

I’m probably going to keep my studio monitors because they’re brand spanking new. 

But There are going to be some hardware and software changes. 

Let’s talk about the gear that I want to get.

Gear

I need a computer powerful enough to handle the different operations that I want it to handle.

For some of you out there, the software that musicians use are really heavy on the computer’s processors. 

It’s also heavy on the ram and harddrive space. 

So for this, I need a really strong computer. It would be ideal if I had touch screen because touchscreen makes things a whole lot easier.

For a minimum,  I need a computer with the specs of an Intel late generation I7, 16 Gb of RAM, and 1Tb of HDD or SSD or whatever you call it. 

But preferably, I would want a computer with Intel I9, 32 gb of RAM, and 2 TB of HDD or SSD. 

I would want 4 USB ports in it with various other connecting ports.

My Mic.

I want a good microphone, However, I’ve seen a lot lately that good mics don’t cost too much. I mean you don’t want something ridiculously cheap either, but good mics don’t cost too much.

The only thing that I want with my mic, is for it to be a diaphragm condenser mic with phantom power. 

I guess I could talk about microphones that I could use to record my guitar too, but the only thing I want is for the microphone to be able to do an X array. This is where you put the microphone across from each other and pointing perpendicular to each other put pointing at the 12 fret of the guitar, it looks like this: / \ 

The tips that are close to each other are where the microphones are, I believe the kind of microphones that go good with that are called condenser mics. Or cardiod mics, I can’t remember. 

My guitar

Ahh yes, my guitar. I would like to get a Taylor acoustic electric. Preferably a grand auditorium. 

I like big guitars, I like the way that they feel on my body.

Or if not, I would like to get a Gibson Humingbird, you  have to look up those guitars.

Right now, I would be primarily focused on writing acoustic songs, I don’t want to add distortion or effects to my guitar right now because I like the way I’m sounding right now.

But of course what album or music would be complete without a distorted guitar. 

So I need an electric guitar for my distortion. 

I would like to get a Gibson Les Paul with cherry wine finish. It needs to have 24 frets, have trapezoidal dot inlays, have chrome dual humbucker pickups, and chrome hardware. However, once you get a gibson, I think most of them come standard with Gold. 

I would like a Marshall amp, it could be a tube amp or not, I just want it to be able to have distortion in it. 

My software

I’m a Studio One fan for life. I absolutely love Studio One and all of it’s stuff. I know how to mix on it. I know how to record on it. It’s so much fun making things in Studio One. I also want to buy the hardware that goes along with Studio One, the interface.   

And I need some other software too. 

There are sound packs that have the latest and greatest in producers sounds inventory. I want to get BKomplete. It’s a sound pack that has awesome drums. I want to get a mastering software for my studio. And yeah I think that sounds about it. 

Back to my Kickstarter

So I think I’ll launch this Kickstarter when I’m ready to start recording again. Right now I can’t record because of all the problems that I’m having. 

But hey I’m going to give you guys some cool merch if you help me out with my Kickstarter so watch out because I haven’t decided what I’m going to give out yet, but I know it’s going to be cool.
