Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all why I think that business and arts go hand in hand!

Before we get started, let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God for our blogs. If you don’t have a blog, then pray to God to help you out with the journey that you have in your life. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

Now back to the show

I simply don’t understand!

So, I don’t understand the fact that there are people out there who think that business and creativity don’t go together well.

I simply don’t get it.

As a matter of fact, I think it goes BETTER than no creativity or art at all.

There are actually quite a few reasons as to why I think that arts and business go together like mud on a pig.

The first reason is that if you know business, you know that you are supposed to come out with a new product every so often.

How are you going to come up with a product, if you are not an artist?

You need to be an artist in order to consistently produce stunning products that people are going to want to buy.

If you’re a clothing designer, you need to know how photos work together in computer programs along with actually painting and sketching. It’s all art.

If you’re a musician, then you need to know how to make AMAZING music consistently for different people.

Likewise if you’re a web developer, app designer, chef, etc. etc.

Business goes hand in hand with the arts because of this.

Another reason is that in business, you’re going to have to get creative with problem solving.

If something doesn’t work, you almost always have to think outside of the box.

And the last reason I’m going to mention is that In every field that you go into, creativity is going to play it’s role in your job. Having that creative person on your side will always prove to be useful and helpful. What better creative person to have than yourself? Right?

So if you’re an artist…

So if you’re an artist, It should be your DUTY to become a businessperson.

The reason why I say that is because Everyone’s voice is unique and powerful. Everyone has something good to say.

So, why not make something great out of your talent?

I know what you’re thinking, “German, there is a shortage of resources out in the world, if everyone were to become a businessperson, there would be no food, water, clothes, etc. etc. because everyone would be trying to get it.”

I understand your point of view.

However, even as I say that, there are still some people out there who don’t want to become a business owner.

And it’s fine! There’s nothing wrong with being an employee.

Being a business owner takes a lot from a person to make.

A business owner has to have great credit, have managing experience, have a business plan set up, maybe even a degree in business, and patience.

It’s really not for everyone.

However, if you feel like you’re up for the challenge to start a business and you really do want to make something that’s going to change lives, then being a business owner is right for you.

I just think that as an artist, we should be looking to make a living with our arts.

As an artist and a writer, I have found that being creative not only with my art and blog, but as an employee at my regular job as well, has helped immensely in “finding myself” and sharing my voice. At the very least, because I have that freedom to explore and invent, my work ethic has dramatically improved. But just being an employee would never be enough for me; there has to be a functioning creative outlet, or I don’t grow in any area of my life.

I feel the same way it’s the reason why I started the blog so that I can develop as the business side of music
