Are Christian movies evil or are they another blessing from God?

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all my reasoning and my position on the topic, “Are Christian movies evil? Or are they another blessing from God?” 

I’ll also share with you all why it relates to music so much.

Before we get into that, let’s ask the Lord for guidance. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to understand him better. Let us not fight amongst ourselves over situations such as this. But rather, let’s ask God to guide us towards the right answer. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this topic.

Are Christian movies evil? Or are they another blessing from God? 

So, the reason why I’m talking about this topic is because I have heard from both sides of the argument.

I have heard that Christian movies are a manner of communicating the message of God to the world. I have heard that and that is a valid point! 

However, I have also heard from people that say that Christian movies aren’t really Christian and even though they talk about positive and good themes, they don’t address God directly and they don’t talk about the direct issues.

I get it! Haha! I get both sides of the argument.

And of course, being Christian, I have seen these movies myself! 

However, we have to understand the topic for what it is. It’s not the statements that I have said above the are the topics, the topic is can Christian movies be used for good or only evil? 

Why I think that it can be used for good.

The reason why I say that it can be used for good is this. 

In the ancient times, they didn’t have pianos or guitars. Rather, they had harps and drums.

And even today, we have evolved from using harps and drums and now we use pianos and guitar. Even my church, which is very conservative in that manner, uses pianos and guitars, only acoustic though. 

Why? If the old ways are supposedly the good ways, why did we switch to pianos?

The piano was an advancement in technology. At the time, pianos were all the craze. 

Well now the advancements in technology are electric guitars, bass guitars, microphones, keyboards, synthesizers, daws, etc. etc. 

So like, nothing new has really happened, just an advancement in technology that has happened in history millions of times. 

So, if we can use pianos, why can’t we use electric guitars?

The same concept is true for movies. Different arts have emerged because of advancements in technology. 

Now, we can record ourselves through photos and videos and use it for the glory of God. 

I personally think that movies can be used for good, it just takes the right person to make the good movie. 

However!

However, I have seen these “Christian” movies that are out there and I will be frank. I SOMETIMES, don’t understand what the message of God is in that movie.

SOMETIMES, I don’t see what biblical message they are trying to say.

Other times, I do. 

Like, I really loved the passion of the Christ because it has the story of Jesus. 

I have also seen other films on the internet regarding the bible because it was teaching the bible to me. Don’t worry, I went and read the bible myself and confirmed the teachings with my own pastor just to verify that what they had said was true and sure enough a lot of the things were true. 

So like, I really do believe that Videos can be used for God. 

So I understand when you say that the movies in today’s society aren’t good, However, God left people everywhere, that’s a fact from the bible. So like, look for the good movies that are out there. And if there aren’t any, go and make them. God doesn’t need you to go out there and make movies, if he wanted to, he would come down right now and tell everyone what they are doing wrong!

However, he doesn’t because he’s perfect. Therefore, if you feel so inclined to make movies about God, go and make movies about him! I know that this world could never get enough of videos about God.
