The Life of a Christian songwriter

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all the life of a Christian songwriter.

Before we get started, let’s have our moment of silence. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to bless our hands as Christian songwriters. Ask God to guide us towards becoming the person that he wants us to become. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this. 

The Life of a Christian songwriter

So it’s funny because when I was a kid, writing songs was a far away dream. 

And in a way, I wanted to have this dream because I thought that I could be lazy with songwriting.

However, my parents broke down the news to me that all good things take time and effort to achieve. 

And they also instructed me to work hard at the things that I do. 

So, I started to work hard. 

And I worked and worked and I wouldn’t stop working until the job was done. 

I know for a fact that if you want to make music your career, then you need to put massive amounts of effort into it. But honestly, I thought that the life that I wanted to live was with music because it would be enjoyable. I absolutely love music, and sometimes I feel like other people around me don’t love music as much as I do.  

And honestly I set that in my heart. 

I set it in my heart that I wanted to make music. 

Fast forward to present times. 

I’ve immersed myself in the art of songwriting and music and it is such an amazing experience. 

I have seen some of the beauty of the Lord’s songwriting skills and I will say that it is just good.

I’ll be honest, some days, I wonder if God is going to provide for the day because it gets like that. 

But I know better than to doubt in God.

And on most days, I have all the things that I need. Remember that he gives and he takes away, so if God wanted to, he could take away all of the things that are in my life and it just has to be. 

You know, as I was writing this, I took a look at my cat in the corner, we’re training her how to use the litter box. And I saw her over there and I was thinking to myself, “You’re a stray cat.” “You’ve been attacked by different animals on the street, people have tried to hurt you, you hung around in the sewers.” “Why aren’t you more concerned, why are you so happy?” 

And It occurred to me that she’s not worried about tomorrow no matter how hard it is and she hunts her food when need be and she rests when it’s time and she lives at peace with us most of the time. 

And what happened was that I was honestly humbled just now because if this cat doesn’t worry, why should I? 

And even in the bible Jesus was saying to his disciples and he said, “behold the fowls of the air, they neither sow nor they reap and yet your heavenly father feedeth them. And behold the lilies of the field, they toil not and yet Solomon in all of his glory was not arrayed like one of these. How much more does your father which is in heaven love you? Oh ye of little faith?”

And honestly sometimes I worry about the bills, but when I read that verse, I am just reminded of all the promises that God kept for us way back when. 

So I have no worries because God is going to provide.

And I’m just having the time of my life, what more could I ask for?
