Hey guys! Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to become the person that he wants us to become. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

Now back to the show

1. Have a way to record your thoughts throughout the day

I know this. What happens is that when people find out that you are Christian, they will look to you for leadership.

It might not be in a managerial position or it might be, but they look for you to know what is the correct and wise thing to do.

So, sometimes with that, people will ask that you pray for them. And it is important that you pray for them.

I know what you’re thinking, “German, they can pray for themselves?”

This is true, but we also do accept prayer requests don’t we?

And having something to write down your notes in is essential because let’s face it, we all forget those prayer requests that we receive don’t we?

And also sometimes it’s better to write things out when we are in person.

I personally use my phone to write things down in because it’s handy and I look at it all the time to pray and read my Bible.

2. Don’t be scared to be intimate

Haha! I know we’ve all been there, we are sometimes paranoid that someone will find our prayer journal and will abuse the knowledge that’s in there right?

This is true, so I would say be intimate as much as you can.

Of course we don’t want people taking advantage of us. But we also need to be blunt with God.

So I would say if you really can’t make yourself say something in your prayer journal, then just say it’s an unspoken subject you’re talking about.

God will understand why you do that. And he will work on that subject, trust that we will.

3. Write songs

I’m personally a musician. HOWEVER, I would actually recommend ALL Christians to write their own songs about God.

Here’s why.

God is worthy of ALL praise. And I know that I’m speaking to people who are capable of doing their own things.

How awesome would your song be to God, if you were to write a song about him without you being a songwriter?

I could write songs all day long, but if someone were to put it in their heart to make songs without ANY knowledge of music, that would be a PERFECT sacrifice to the Lord.

The Lord knows that you are trying your best to worship him. And the Lord is awesome in doing good.

So trust when I say if you were to write songs about God without any musical experience, then God would be the one to be honored completely and not us. That would be beautiful.

Musicians with talent can and SHOULD worship the Lord through song, but it’s kind of like when the widow gave her last penny in the tithe. She gave out of her poverty and Jesus said that she had given MORE than what anyone else had.
