What is the best DAW for kids?!?!

Hey everyone! Before we get started, let’s have our moment of silence.

So if you’re asking this question, you might have a little producer in your household.

You might have someone who thinks that producing music is the best thing since sliced bread.

Even though they might not completely be aware of what producing means.

But anyways let’s talk about DAWS for kids.

Something you should know about DAWS.

So you should know a few things regarding these complex pieces of software and hardware.

The first thing that you should know is that if you’re not careful with some of this equipment, you can get electrocuted.

HOWEVER,

That shouldn’t stop you from getting a SAFE DAW for your kids.

It would introduce them to a wide array of musical talents to have a DAW.

It would also turn your kids tech-savvy.

Another thing that you should know about DAWS is that some of the equipment and software is expensive and don’t be surprised when they keep asking you to use your credit cards to buy sample packs and instruments.

So then! It wouldn’t be wise to get your child who is 8 years old a piece of equipment that could cost you a fortune if they spill their sippy cup on it.

Instead, this is what I recommend.

A DAW that is on your phone.

There are actually a lot of really good options out there that are inexpensive and are safe to use for kids.

A DAW on your phone has very little chance of causing electrocution to you or your child.

And all you need are some good headphones and to download an app on your phone. It really is that easy.

they are also not as expensive as a computer DAW.

DAWS on your computer can cost upwards of a thousand dollars.

The first DAW that I ever got on my computer was 250.

So like it can be expensive.

The DAW that I have on my phone cost me like 14 dollars.

So like, it really is a win win situation.

You guys have heard that if you start off with something small, you can be trusted with something big right?

Well if you can trust your child with a DAW that is only 14 dollars, then you can trust them with a DAW that is 500 dollars.

So use this time to see if they really can be trusted with the DAW and if they can, then you know that you’ve done something good.
