Can you be a Christian and a famous music artist?

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to answer a question that I’m pretty sure that we all have. 

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence. 

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to guide us to be excellent worshippers and praisers of him. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

Can you be a Christian and a famous music artist? 

So I’m pretty sure that we’ve all had this life long debate in our hearts. 

Is it true that you can be famous and be a Christian, or Christian musician? 

We all have heard about the lifestyles of a rock and roll musician. How they are not exactly Christian. How they do things that are not Godly. 

Well let’s talk about this. 

What does the bible say? 

So let’s look at a few Kings in the bible. 

Now let’s first examine who is a king?

A king is someone noble, typically someone educated, strong, wealthy, has servants, and has access to a wide variety of resources. 

That’s basically what a famous musician is isn’t it?

You might say that they’re not educated but oh the contrary, in order to make music like a rockstar, you have to be well educated in music. Either by the construction of music or in your instrument. 

And even some music artists have gone out and gained their bachelors after they have achieved mainstream success. 

So musicians can be well educated, they have money, servants, they are strong, wide variety of resources, and in the old days, they would be considered noble. 

And let’s take a look at some kings from the bible. 

There were good kings in the bible. 

Solomon was the son of David and the wisest and richest man that ever lived.

And King David, when the bible prophesied about Jesus, it even mentions that the king would be LIKE DAVID, I’m not trying to say that David was as holy as Jesus, he didn’t come close for he was a murderer. 

But the bible said that David was a good king. 

And so like with the sin that David had, we all have sin and not one sin is greater than another. 

And we as Christians are supposed to be a light in the world even though there sometimes seems like there is no light. 

Solomon, even though he was wise, he still had like a hundred wives and each of them was guiding him away from God. 

So we all have sin, but that doesn’t mean that we cannot serve God. 

Now what does that have to do with a career in Christian music?

So we as Christians are to walk in holiness. 

It doesn’t matter what profession we are in.

For no matter what profession you are in, you are going to be tempted to sin against God in that profession. 

Even in the church, you will have temptations to sin.

As we have seen, there have been pastors who have abused their positions in the church, there have been pastors who have turned against God. 

But we are to walk as perfectly as possible. 

And if we sin, we are to have CONFIDENCE, that God will be there to pick up the pieces.

And we know that he will do it. 

So walk as perfectly as you can, strive for perfection, but just remember that if you sin, it’s just part of your nature and God understands that. 

It’s not like God is going to come down and strike you down just because you sin, God is not like that. 

Just continue in your walk with God and let him guide you. 

So the answer to that question is yes you can be a Christian music artist, just remember to walk with the Lord.
