Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all how a Christian musician should treat their music.

Before we get started, let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and ask God to give us strength to work hard and to be clean in all of our ways. Ask God to guide us more towards him each and every day. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

Now back to the show

As an athlete

You know, I have my own fair share of being an athlete.

I used to play soccer and I weightlifted.

And I’m used to seeing what the benefit of different exercises would have on your body.

And so, I actually look at a Christian musician and I say that we need to treat ourselves as athletes in a metaphorical and literal sense.

Let’s talk about this.

Metaphorically.

As a musician, we have to deal with a lot of different things that pertain to our music.

And even though we would like to just write songs all day long, we cannot just do that as independent artists.

We have to focus some of our time on rehearsing, songwriting, music production, mixing, marketing, content creation, our literal physical health and beauty.

Because what happens is that all of these things will come into play in our careers at one point or another.

And that’s the metaphorical reason as to why we should treat ourselves as athletes. Because athletes themselves have to do similar things.

They have to worry about press conferences, sponsorships, their literal bodies, they have to be in top shape, they have to worry about eating right, and being a good example to the kids.

Literally

We literally have to treat our lives like an athlete because we need to be in top shape as well.

I mean don’t get me wrong, I guess musicians can get away with being a little unhealthy.

But really, you need to be healthy andd strong to do the job.

I mean an artist burns as much calories performing for 2 hours on stage as a professional sports star.

And like do you think that they’re going to stop the show just because you can’t stand?

You have to be able to move.

So what I’ve come up with

So I’ve actually come up with the IDEAL music schedule.

6  AM wake up eat breakfast, shower, brush teeth, make up for girls, and morning prayer etc.

7 am blog or content create. They say that the imagination part of the brain is the freshest in the morning, so wake up at this time and do it.

8 or 9 am write songs, every musician needs to be writing songs for it is their craft. Do this for 2 to 3 hours.

12 lunch or not whatever you prefer.

1 gym. This is probably the last few hours that you have before the rush in the afternoon at the gym so use it wisely.

3 write some more content or make a video. Content is king.

4 write some more music maybe one hour

5 write another blog post

6 work on monetization. Of course we need to be working on how we get money

7 read the bible and pray. We cannot forget about God but we should have a time dedicated to him where we are relaxing and getting ready for bed to help us feel at ease with him.

8 brush teeth, eat dinner, an relax.

9 Final prayer and bed time.

I think that would be the dream life for me to be honest with you.

But you take your own spin too you.
