Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all something that happened in Ecclesiastes.

Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence.

At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to follow him throughout all of our lives. Ask God to guide us more towards him each and every day. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.

Now back to the show

Ecclesiastes

So the bible states that Ecclesiastes were the words from a preacher but the bible doesn’t say who wrote it.

And Ecclesiastes is one of the wisdom books in the bible.

And the wisdom of Ecclesiastes is that we as man have a lot of things in our lives, but all of it is vain.

All of it is vanity.

It even goes to show that everything is vain. Vanity of vanity all is vanity.

And the book has the man reasoning with himself.

He is reasoning with himself as to what is good and what is truly acceptable.

And he states that he went out and he acquired all that he had whether it be land, or servants, or livestock, or Gold and silver and he said that all of it was vanity.

And it even showed that he hated all of the work that he did under the sun for it was all in vain.

For he states, that one thing is certain to the one that is righteous and the one that is unrighteous, which is death.

And it doesn’t matter how good we have been on this earth, we are all going to die.

And Ecclesiastes was one of the books of wisdom that talks about the purpose of life.

And it shows one of life’s most difficult questions that needs to be solved. The question is, “Why are we here on earth?”

And let’s go to the conclusion of Ecclesiastes which is all the way at the end of Ecclesiastes.

It is, “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments:  for this is the whole duty of man. for God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” Ecclesiastes 12:13-14.

So our whole purpose of life is to Fear God and keep his commandments. For that is our whole duty.

What does that actually mean though.

It means that we are to not walk in unrighteousness. We are to walk in holiness.

Even in the Old Testament, it talks about walking in a way that is perfect. Because our God is perfect. And we cannot accept anything else but be perfect.

We have to honor our father and mothers, we have to honor the law, we have to be holy as Christ is holy. In christ.

This is something that we need to pray for.

That we may walk in holiness.

And that might mean something different for each of us.

To some, it might mean working hard in a construction field. Others it means to literally write about God on the internet.

And all of this points to worshiping God in everything that we are.

This is so exciting, I think that the Lord has given me wisdom.
