Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all how to make your own home recording studio really cheap. Before we get started, let’s have our moment of silence.

How to build your own home recording studio for cheap!
So actually, you can make your own home recording studio for I would say around 50 dollars.
Which to some of you is a big relief because you were probably going through Guitar Center’s catalog and wondering to yourself, “How am I ever going to afford this?!?!?!”
HAHA, fear not, I am here to help.
So let’s talk.
The necessities
In this day and age, if you have a smartphone, the rest of the equipment is really cheap.
If you have an Iphone or Android, you can actually make really great sounding music straight from your phone.
And so the necessities come down to this.
Your phone, the DAW, and your headphones.
That’s what it comes down to.
Your phone, if you already have one, is of no cost extra to you.
And for the best DAW for a phone out on the market is probably either FL studio or Garage band.
And Garage band is sometimes free on Iphones, and FL studio costs 14 dollars to download.
And I personally use FL Studio even on my Iphone.
I think that FL Studio is a complete DAW and I even made a few songs with that software and released it publicly.
I mixed it on my TV speaker, so I guess that if you wanted to mix it on speakers you would need that too, but even mixing on headphones just needs a little bit of practice to get down.
And honestly the most expensive part about it all would be the headphones.
You need a good set of headphones, HOWEVER, I will say that you don’t need the latest set of BEATS headphones.
The reason is, and don’t tell anyone this, but what happens is that the music industry hit a sort of limit as to how advanced their technology can go back in like 2011. And so, basically you have the same headphones just marketed differently each year.
So if you get a set of 30 dollar headphones, they are probably just as good as the BEATS headphones. Just make sure they are not Earbuds and they are headphones, you know the ones that cover your whole ears.
And that’s where your money should be.
Oh and if you want a microphone, remember how I said that the music industry’s technology hit a cap? It’s the same for microphones, so your phone microphone is most likely just fine for most of your projects.
But I will say that sometimes it’s important that you listen to the music through your headphones and record at the same time, so maybe when looking for a pair of headphones you should look out for a set with a microphone.
