Hey everyone! So today, I thought I would share my thoughts as to how God answers our prayers. Before we get started, let’s have our moment of silence.
At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and pray to God to help us to follow him throughout all of our lives. Ask God to give us faith in him about the prayers that we have in our lives. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.
Now back to the show
How does God answer prayers?
So let’s look at a few verses in the bible.
And I’m not going to quote them all right here but I will share with you the bible verses and you can read along.
Genesis chapter 24 in its entirety.
What was going on is that Abraham was old and his son needed a wife.
So he said to his faithful servant to go back to his land and get him a son.
And so, Abraham says that the angel of the Lord will be there to help him in his task.
And so the servant goes.
And then, the servant makes a prayer to the Lord so that the first woman to appear at the well will give him drink and give his camels drink as well.
And sure enough, there was a girl right there waiting for him and she gave him a drink and gave his camels a drink as well.
And so, it was so that she became Isaacs wife.
And the servant worshiped the Lord for what he had done.
Now let’s look at this for a second.
If you’re careful to read the verses, the angel of the Lord does not appear in fire or a miraculous light or by sending a flaming lion to answer the servant.
No, but Abraham said that the angel of the Lord would be there.
And sure enough, the angel of the Lord was there.
And the servant gave credit to the Lord for something that he could’ve perfectly said was either coincidence or his own work.
No, the Lord gave honor to the Lord for what had happened.
And so I want to tell you guys, that has there ever been a moment of time where you said that was a coincidence? Because I tell you that it was no coincidence, it was God.
I’m telling you right now, that the Lord was the one who made the things possible.
So don’t look at yourself and say that you are mighty, don’t look at yourself and say that you are doing good, but rather, give all the glory to God for the good things that happen in your life for it is God who does it all.
Here is an example of when God answered my prayers.
