Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all something near and dear to me.
Before we get into it, let’s have our moment of silence.
At this time, I would like all of us to take a moment of silence and ask God to help us to become content with the things that he has given us. Take a minimum of 5 minutes and pray for this.
Now back to the show
Be content with what you have
So what happens is that one of these days, my preacher was actually preaching about being content with what you have.
And I’ll be honest, It was a good feeling.
I actually liked the feeling of being content with what I have because I’ll be honest for the longest time, I was chasing things that honestly were difficult to achieve.
I was chasing riches and fame for a while.
And it seemed like a never ending trap that I was in.
Anyways, my preacher was preaching about contentment and it felt so good because it felt like a big weight was lifted off my shoulders.
I didn’t feel like I needed to get the latest and greatest of things anymore like how I used to feel.
I didn’t feel inferior just because I didn’t have big things.
It felt like I was calm and soothing.
And what my preacher said was, “Be content with what you have because there are a million other people who would wish to be in your shoes Christian.”
And don’t get me wrong, I’m still trying to get the things that I need.
Like I need my own place to live, I need my own car, I need a wife, I’m still chasing after those things, however, it’s with contentment with the things that God has given me already.
And I am content with where I am right now.
For the Lord has honestly blessed me.
Now, I actually didn’t see this before, but I see it now.
You can be rich in blessings and not be rich financially.
And I see that, that is true to the utmost fulfillment of what is true.
You can be rich in blessings and not have money.
And it’s better to be rich in blessings than in money.
Not saying that the Lord is going to leave me without money, but I am saying that be content.
Right now I’m far from rich, but I’m still content with what I’ve been given.
For the Lord has blessed me far beyond what I should be blessed with.
