DIY Christian music: Where to find inspiration for your content?

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all some technical applications to the whole Christian musician career.

Let’s get started. 

Where to find inspiration for your content? 

So a lot of the content that we need to create whether that be songs, blog posts, videos, Facebook posts, tweet all require some sort of writing in it. 

Even videos need to be written out first on a script before you can fully produce it because it helps to make your videos more authentic and flow more naturally. 

So I know that this sounds a surprise but in reality, we as Christian musicians need to get into the practice of writing every day. 

Our lyrics need the benefit of writing, our blog posts need the benefit of writing, our videos our whole content situation needs help from writing. 

So write every day, but about what? 

What do I write about when I have no inspiration? 

This is a good point. 

But to that I must add the musicians way of getting better at things. 

And that’s to replicate until you innovate. 

So replicate with your own twist to the blog posts with your own twist to the videos until you can innovate and create something unique. 

This system of replicate until you innovate doesn’t just apply to music, it also applies to different creative jobs too. 

That’s how you make content in mass quantities but people still say that you should get inspired to write a blog post or a song, and to be honest with you, I know where you’re coming from but it’s a little misguided. 

Like your best songs could come from getting inspired but the majority of your songs are going to come from hard work and persistence. 

So here is where you draw your inspiration from. 

The bible, prayer, and just being all around Christian. 

The bible should be the first place where you draw inspiration from as a Christian. 

The reason is because the Lord does speak to us through the bible. 

The Lord has his will layed out for us in the bible and you can often find many answers to what you’re looking for in life in the bible. 

Prayer

Prayer is how we talk to God. 

If we are ever unsure about something in our lives or if we just need to communicate directly to the Lord, we go to prayer to solve the solution. 

And I will say that prayer does work. Prayer does help and God does answer prayers. 

He answers all of our prayers time and time again and he is so good that he doesn’t get tired of answering our prayers. 

Going to church

Church is the place where we learn about God.

We are able to comprehend more about God through church.

Going to church is just as important as reading the bible or praying.

For the Lord is present at church.
