So what happens is that music is a big process. 

And it can take a lot of time to really grasp the concept of how to create a great song. 

You have so many different elements in a song. 

You have the songwriting aspect. 

You have the lyrics, the music, the chords, the rhythm. 

And then you have the production (AKA adding in the drums, and syntheseizers and effects)

So you need to be able to produce at a high level. 

You need to be able to write well and produce quality music. And you know what they say, “Practice makes perfect.”

Remember that the human effect in music is still completely real

So what happens is that when you’re messing around with electronic instruments. 

And you have them all on the grid, it can sound a little too robotic. 

And what happens is that you’ll be able to hear it when it sound robotic. 

So what you do is either press the humanize button or humanize the tracks yourself. 

And what humanize is, is that it makes the music a little off so that way it can sound like actual people are playing the music and not just some robot. 

Because the way that robots do it is too precise, but the way that humans do it is a little of. 

This works very well with the drums. 

Learn the 5 key elements of mixing

There is Compression, EQ, Reverb, Delay, and Saturation.

Some people say that there really are only 4 Key Elements in mixing which is Compression, EQ, Reverb, and Delay. 

But either way, once you realize that 90% of all music is mixed with those four elements, you’ll see that there’s hardly any other use for a plethora of other mixing effects. 

Learn the basic components in a musical piece. 

So when producing, there are a few elements that you need to keep in mind

They are 

1. Drums
2. Voice
3. Mids (Guitar, Pianos, Synthesizers that fit within the middle of the audible frequency spectrum.)
4. Effects
5. Bass

If you learn how to compose with these elements, you’ll learn how to be a part of the best of them. 

Learn the basics in music theory

So if you know the basics, you will know how to use them well. 

Learn how to use chords and how to arrange vocals and how to use harmonies to create great accompaniment. 

Learn how to create a melody and how to use those melodies to create emotion. 

If you learn how to do these things, you will go far
