Hey guys, so today we’re going to talk a little bit about music, let’s get into it
I’m trying to find venues
So what happens is that in America, especially in some areas, there are hardly any venues where you can play music at.
In the area that I’m at, we’re in what’s called the suburbs.
And the suburbs are different from the big cities that we have here in America.
Like right now, I’m not going to tell you exactly where I am, but I am a few hours a way from Washington D.C.
and that’s a big city.
And in Washington D.C. you can actually find a plethora of venues where you can perform at each night.
Which is why there are quite a few artists that come from Washington D.C.
But over here in the suburbs, especially where I’m at, there’s only like one maybe two venues where I can perform.
Three if I decided to drive 2 hours from here.
And what happens is that, that’s not really the ideal amount of venues that you want to be performing at.
The real deal is that you need to be performing almost every single night and attracting a following to your socials while performing.
Over in D.C. you can do that.
But D.C. is such a far away drive from me, that after work, I wouldn’t be able to drive over there and make it in time for the performances.
The struggle is real.
I would like it if on my days off, I could drive over there and perform, but even still it would hardly be worth it because most of the venues in D.C. are like bars and what not.
And I’m a Christian artist.
So that means that if I wanted to start out playing venues, I would need to get my start in coffee shops, which is what I’ve been doing.
It’s not necessary, but it’s preferred because Coffee shops are family friendly and the atmosphere is better for a Christian artist.
And don’t get me wrong, there are a whole bunch of coffee shops in D.C. I’ve performed there before.
And i could make it work in D.C.
And it’s most likely that I’m going to make it work in D.C.
but not now.
Just know guys, that for every view that you guys give me on these blog posts, it’s helping me out tremendously.
I couldn’t have done this without God and then my fans.
So, I couldn’t have made this blog happen if it wasn’t for God.
God gave me the strength to write in this blog every day.
He gave me the strength to persevere.
There were times when I wanted to quit this blog.
There were days where I was just tired from college and work and all the other things that happen in life that I just didn’t feel like writing in this blog.
Yet God gave me the strength to continue.
He gave me wisdom and intelligence to know what to do in this blog.
he provided a way for me to do this every day.
And it was him alone who is good.
Glory to God.
And then of course, I couldn’t have done this without you guys.
I remember when I first started this blog, it was like 1 view a day, if that.
I remember in my third month blogging, I had made around 15 views in the entire month and I was so upset because i thought by that time i was supposed to be making the big bucks in my blog.
lol, if only I knew what I know now about blogging.
But it continued to grow and now the Lord is the one who is blessing this blog, through you guys.
You guys are the true MVPS
