How to become a Christian singer

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all some insight as to how to become a Christian singer.

Let’s get into it

Start singing

So the first thing that you should be doing is to start singing.

Particularly it means that you should start singing Christian music.

The reason why is because if you submerse yourself into the Christian music world by listening to the songs that make up Christian music, then you will have a good grasp as to how Christian music should look like and sound like. 

Now there is a common saying in teaching communities. 

The teachers say, “repeat until you innovate.”

So that’s exactly what you have to do, you need to repeat until you innovate. 

And if you repeat Christian songs over and over again, you will eventually find ways to innovate those songs into something that is completely different and unique. 

Try picking up singing lessons. Try and pick up guitar lessons. Because in all reality, as a musician, you’re going to be asked to do a wide variety of things and if you have the musical background to support your musical endeavors, well then the more power to you. 

Even if you just start out in the church choir, that’s also good because it will add to your musical knowledge. 

After about 5 or 6 years of music experience…

So in all reality, it takes a lot to become a musician. You’re not going to become a great musician over night. 

So after you’ve really spent good quality time as a musician, then you are ready to move on to learning how to create music. 

Take lessons in music theory and songwriting to help you in your process of becoming a Christian musician. 

And just start writing songs. 

It’s going to be difficult to learn the ropes in songwriting at first, but the more you study, the more practice you put into writing songs, the more you’ll get out of it. 

Then, after a few years of doing that, you’re ready to start publishing

After you’ve created some songs, then you’re ready to start publishing your music. 

Do a lot of independent study as to how to start self-releasing your music. 

I’ll give you a hint, I currently do it for free in exchange for some of my royalties. 

And just try and get as many streams and as many downloads as possible. 

All the while you should be promoting your music through content creation. Create as much content as possible so that you can really capitalize on music promotion.

Remember the more content you create, the more traffic you’ll get. 

And boom you’re a Christian singer

It’s easier said than done. You’re probably wondering to yourself, “But German, this means that I’m going to have to spend some time in the trenches before I really get a big pay day, that’s no fun!”

You’re right! You are absolutely right, you are going to have to spend some time really grinding and working hard. 

In your life regardless of what you do, you are going to have nights where you cry, you are going to have days where they are bad. You are going to have days where the worst of the worst happens to you. 

However, God makes these things more bareable. 

So, if you just rely on God, no matter what you do, you will be successful.
