Three absolutely essential things you need in order to get signed to a Christian record label

Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to give you guys some tips on how to get signed to a record label. 

Let’s get into it.

They look for a fanbase

So the first thing that any record label really looks for is to see if you have a fanbase of dedicated followers on your socials and your platforms. 

And if you provide just that, then it’s a good sign that the record label is going to sign you. 

Now that actually means that you have a decent following on all of your platforms. 

Which may include Facebook, X, Instagram, etc. etc.

They are going to want to also see that your audience is engaging with your content. 

Because it doesn’t mean much if you have 10,000 followers on your socials and none of them are clicking on your links or interacting with your content. 

So yeah, try and build up a fanbase by creating great and helpful content on the internet and just being a helpful person on the internet. 

They look for albums, singles and streams sold

So it’s one thing to say that your music is hot, it’s a completely different thing to have the proof to back it up.

Because one thing is certain, your song might be musically great. 

Like it might sound really really good but if it’s not selling albums, I mean, is it really what people want? 

So if you present albums and singles sold, it shows your marketability and it shows your sellability to an audience. 

And last but not least tickets sold

So as an artist, your biggest income is going to come from the tickets that you sell on tour. 

And if you can prove that you sell out to people at your concerts, I mean it’s a really big indicator that you’re going to make a lot of money on tour. 

You’re not going to be the only one who makes a lot of money on tour, obviously as the headliner, people are going to want to see you perform, but everyone gets a slice of the pie. 

From the managers and the A&R reps, to the record label execs, everyone is going to make a lot of money off of you. 

So do your best to sell out tickets at your local venues and you will go a long way.
