Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to go over that music is an always learning game. 

Let’s get into it. 

I sent my song to a professional songwriter

So for those of you that are involved in songwriting, There is a songwriter organization in charge of producing next great songwriters. 

It’s called the Nashville Songwriters Associaion International. 

And what happened is that I sent my song into the organization to get evaluated. 

And i waited for almost a month and I heard news from the songwriter in charge of evaluating my song and I honestly think he loved my song because he left a very detailed message about how I can make it better. 

So let’s talk about my song. 

The first thing you should know is that the modern trend in Christian radio is that the song should be short. 

So what happens is that my song is around four minutes and thirty eight seconds. 

He said that the song would be better if it was closer to three minutes and thirty eight seconds. 

And he felt like it could use a slight improvement in the bpm because he felt like the song could use more energy. 

However, he said that’s his preference and not necessarily an all out thing. 

And then he talked heavily about the lyrics and though I do like to write, I will admit that my chords and melodies are good but my lyrics need more assistance. 

So he was mentioning ways that I can improve and honestly he said all of the things that I knew it needed work on. 

And then he mentioned that my melodies were okay but they weren’t memorable and they needed to become memorable. 

So what he mentioned was that I need to make more memorable melodies and the hook needs to be really strong. 

And he said all the way at the end that, “Good songs are written every day, but great songs are rewritten.” 

So he said, the great songs need to be used with a hammer and chisel and be worked on with rewriting. 

But this means that he loves the song and it has potential it just needs work on it. 

I’m so excited right now because i have seen these types of critiques before and I know they are good and that they think I’m a great musician. 

Usually when a professional in the music industry has a direct way to improve your song, it’s because you made it good it’s just that it needs work. 

and I’m so excited about this next era in my life.

Update on life in general. 

I’ll be honest here, I’m not doing too bad at my job. 

I know I can improve, but I’m not doing too bad at it. 

So what happens is that I’m setting a deadline for myself to sell a minimum of 10 cars in one month by the end of 3 months from now. And 15 cars by the end of 6 months from now. 

I learned some really cool things about the car industry that I feel like is going to rapidly improve my development as a car salesman. 

The Lord will be with me. 

I’m so excited about my future and I know that God will be the one to give me the opportunity and strength to make my dreams come true. 

The Lord has been good to me ever since day one and he will be good to me forever and ever. 

But that’s not the only thing. 

This blog is doing really good too. 

We’re almost at half through the month of August and I’m on track to hitting around 831 views for the end of the month. 

So exciting! 

The Lord will be the one to provide.
