How to read minds with music

So, let’s be real here, there is no such thing as reading minds. 

That is a lie and it’s meant to deceive people. 

I put it on here because in a way, that’s what us musicians have to do in our work to create good songs, we have to think about what sounds good to other people. 

So now, let’s talk about how to, “Read minds with music.”

I know this is contrary to what you’re used to hearing, but music is fact, not opinion of if it’s good or not. 

So, I know you guys hear that music is an opinion on if it’s good or not. Like Some people think that certain songs are good and some are not, but that’s quite not true. 

A song is good based on facts not opinion. 

So if you know how a song is supposed to be created, you will be able to identify songs that are just plain good.

So put it simply, if you hate a song, for whatever reason you hate that song, it can look bad on you to certain musicians because factually it is a good song and the musician knows it and the record label knows it and then you look like you’re just a hater of the musician who wrote the song. 

I remember I one time heard a Spanish song, and quite frankly it was a good song, and someone just says, that’s a terrible song, and I just knew in myself that, that person was just hating for racial stereotypes because factually it was a good song and I knew it, and the record label knows it, I’ve experienced this with Asian songs which I didn’t know the lyrics to and I still liked it, I’ve experienced it with all types of music all over the world. 

Here’s a little secret in the music industry

Every Big artist whether he is black, or white, or Spanish, or Indian or whatever you want to call it uses the same techniques. They use the same producers, drummers, guitarists, they use the same melodies, they use the same speeds, EVERYTHING they use, they just present it in a different manner. 

The reason why they use it, is because these techniques and tools are proven to work and work well. So everyone uses it. 

So If everyone uses the same techniques then why do people hate on certain musicians even if their songs are good? 

Factually they are good. 

So this is where mind reading comes from as a musician

If a song is factually good, then you know which songs everyone likes. 

And if everyone likes it because it’s factually good, I could go up to you and say, “I can read your mind with music.” 

And then i show you a song and I say, “You LIKED that song” and I could also go and say, “You DON”T like that song.” Because there have been bad songs that have been released by major labels.

Let’s test this out,

And let’s see if I’m saying something correct,

I’m going to make a prediction

and I’m going to predict that you will like the first song you are going to like it

and the second song, you’re NOT going to like it

and the third song, you are going to like it. 

So the pattern is like, not like, like

are you ready? 

But the way you’re going to see if I’m telling you the truth is if you’re SUPER honest with yourself and me. 

You can’t say no just to say that I’m wrong.

So you see, Musicians know how to tell what songs you like and which ones you don’t. 

Some musicians are able to release a series of bad songs and still make it work because they have power behind them. 

They have influence over people and are able to make it work through that manner. 

But just know that you can look really bad, if you hate on a song for whatever reason unless it’s actually bad. 

So how can you tell if a song is actually good or actually bad?

Well you could become a professional musician and spend years practicing instruments and perfecting every aspect of music, which some do.

But the other way, is simple and it’s by being brutally honest with the songs you listen to. 

Remove all bias aside and say to yourself, “This song is good.” 

And you will find that everyone has good songs and bad songs and yeah. I remember I had a couple of friends who completely say, “I hate rock.” Or, “I hate rap.” 

And I cant’ help but to think to myself, it’s all the same thing, it’s just slightly different. 

Like let me name to you a Chord progression and let me ask you if it’s a Rock chord progression or a Hip-hop Chord progression. 

The I-V-vi-IV Chord progression. 

Is it rock or is it Hip-hop?

Well I could name you like 10 Eminem songs that use it so that’s Hip-hop.

and i could also name you 10 Rock Songs that use it, so it has to be rock as well. 

You see, there is no difference, 

Now you might say that the drums sound different. 

If you knew the things that I know about music, you would know that they are not different at all. 

Even down to the way that they are composed are exactly the same.
