Hey everyone! So today, I’m going to share with you all how to create a following on the internet as a musician.

Let’s get into it.

Start making content

Now I know what most of ya’ll are saying, “But German, that takes forever to get a following that way, I want my fans right now!”

Well let me ask you something, How did everyone do it?

They put in a lot of hard work grinding day in and day out working on different things.

Back in the 1900s, people used to play lives shows all across their town and that’s how they would gain their fans.

They would gain their fans by playing live shows and just connecting with people in that capacity.

Now you have an advantage at your hands.

And that’s the internet, you have the ability to reach masses of people and it’s at your fingertips.

And quite frankly, not everyone lives in a big city.

Not everyone lives in LA, or NYC, or ATL, or DC, or MIAMI, like straight up not everyone lives in those areas.

But what people do have is the ability to get on their computers and their phones and create content so that other people can connect with you.

I remember back when I first started this blog, I didn’t know how far or where I was going to end up with the blog because quite frankly with you, I can see things through but this was a really good thing that I was doing and I just didn’t have that tenacity at the time.

I mean I’ve done really good things in the past but never to this capacity.

Anyways, my number one advice is to literally just create content.

Now I know what you might be saying and it’s that, “German I just don’t know what to write about.”

Well let me ask you something, what are you passionate about?

If you say music and you’re a musician, then I have some great news for you, you can blog about music.

To be real with you if you’re a musician, you should have a blog or a YouTube channel.

I chose a blog, but I’m going to start a YouTube channel pretty soon, I can make great videos it wouldn’t take much out of me and yeah.

I’ll be honest with you, if you’re a musician and you want to create a music blog, you really need to share your expertise in music.

Talk about your experience.

And guess what? Since you know the internet is vast and big, you know that every topic that you could ever talk about has already been talked about and that means that you don’t have to worry about sounding repetitive just put your own spin on the topic that you want to talk about and just get through like that.

I’m going to be honest with you

Now there is a website on the internet called Ghost.org and it states in one of their blog posts that in reality, it takes anywhere between 4 to 6 years to develop a following through a blog.

And personally for me, it took me 6 years to get my first 1,000 views in a single month to a blog, which is not a lot.

Currently I’m on the path to hit 3,000 views in this month alone. But yeah it takes time to develop a following on a blog and for google to actually notice you.

I did it almost entirely without ads.

I think I spent like 100 dollars one time on an ad to my website for guitar lessons, but that’s about it.

Other than that, This work was done with only pure free manner of promotion.

So I’ll break it down everything that I did because quite frankly even I don’t know what I did that was able to get me this result.

All that I did

I’ve done a lot of things over the years, but the number one thing that I did was create content.

Like that’s 80% of all the work that I ever did, I showed up and I wrote blog posts.

But along with that for a while I was sharing on social media, I also internally and externally linked to my own website and other websites outside of my website.

I also responded back to every comment I ever received.

But yeah, if you’re looking to expand your viewership, you should do all that I just mentioned.

There is something that WordPress says to do in order to increase viewership and that’s to share your content.

It literally says that people who share their content on the internet usually receive 10 times as much traffic as someone who does not share.

I’ll be real with you, I have gotten significantly more views ever since I started sharing.

So just to put that in perspective.

I sure hope that I have been an inspiration and a hope to you all. Please remember to pray, read your bible, go to church, and love God above all else. Like, comment, share, subscribe, and I will see you all next time.

If you want to go to heaven, then believe in Jesus and you will go to heaven. (John 3:16)
